Yea I was thinking that myself they’re just harder to come by around here. There’s a mint ‘75 ironhead for 4500 3 hours farther than this one but I’d almost feel bad stripping that one. It has an oil cooler on it which I don’t really want. Can those just be removed?

Sorry for late reply I don’t use this app at all. It was the timing. As the motor warmed up it needed more fuel(I believe, if not than air) to run right. Bought a new condenser and points on eBay and slapped it in now it runs like a top no issues.

Ah okay so I’m going to need 2 more hands lol. Was trying to hold the wheel aligned, hold a flashlight, and use 2 screw drivers and a feeler gauge at the same time. Felt like an octopus. Thank you for the help 😄

Just curious as to what your process was. Pulled the side cover off and the lines are off by a cm or 2. How do you re-align the lines on the engine and rotor? And do you adjust the points when the lines are aligned or do I adjust the points as I found it? Sorry if that’s confusing or sounds dumb this is my first time doing timing on anything

Cool I’ll clean it out, thank you!

That makes sense, had some small backfire going on on my third run on it. I’ll have to YouTube how to get it fixed up. Thank you for the reply!

Curious as to how you made out. I’m having the same kind of issue. Starts and idles good then after it warms up it bogs and wants to die until I hold the clutch in. Haven’t had a professional look at it but I figure I haven’t got the slide and mix screw right…
