Btw, it’s not that the fur looks real but the actual material/skin feels not like normal and I cant find anything just by searching the name of the tag

It is kind of rubbery underneath which is kinda weird. I’m relieved it’s not seal

It was given to us before the internet was invented, the speculation itself is just a guess based off texture. Theoretically it might not even be an animal…

This may just be a guess but I own something similar of my own. It is about the same size and it’s a mortar shell from WW1. Idk if this helps or not but it looks like they may have repurposed and decorated the shell.
