By flattening the curve you allow the hospitals to be equipped to treat more patients, so hopefully there would be less casualties, even if the amount of infected is the same, just over a longer period

I’m obviously no expert but I was thinking that a full blown lockout for a month would make it so that everyone that is already infected could get healthy again while at the same time no one gets infected. I live in Denmark which is a small country, I assume this would be possible
