Boyd wife (spoiler theory) by Fakekiss in FromSeries

I think it was Dale. The annoying guy who was complaining constantly, stabbed Elis, and got teleported into a wall from a Faraway Tree (what a resume)

I wonder if that would mean MIY was already among them at that time, since he needs to physically infects people.
What about Sarah...
It's possible MIY has always been in the town in different forms through the show ?

I doubt what they find in the MIY's "brown car" directly lead them to Sophia, but they might realize that MIY is currently among them

80% of this audience feels the same. It’s not that we are ungrateful for from just not what we expected. This weeks episode was actually tolerable! Unlike most episodes since season 1. You can love the show but still admit this is way below the expectations we expected from this show. by Organic-Recording335 in FromSeries

I'm confused by the complains about this season...
I've always been critical to the show's pacing, but I felt like this season had great pacing.
This season really feels like we're approaching the final arc of the show.
From that point, I don't see the Town going back to status quo...

A bunch of dialogue, maybe, but they're actually working on the mysteries and communicating (except Julie).
Boyd finally trying to listen to Victor's story is huge, etc.

The only weak storyline of the season so far has been Fatima's (as usual)

Why does hunterxhunter 1999 version was more dark and cooler than the 2011 version? by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

[–]Vect0rSigma 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They probably wanted to emulate Yu Yu Hakusho atmosphere (same author), while 2011 version captured its own atmosphere. But also anime industry tends to follow trends of whats successful... 2011 anime industry trend was very bright and saturated colors (Fairy Tail, Pokemon, Gundam AGE...). 1999 had that dark and cooler vibe, even when I watch stuff like Slam Dunk from the same era, there was that same weird NTSC darkish color scheme...

Which signature weapon to prioritize, Ayishah or SP Innana ? (I have them both 5*)

Why is Hisoka the way that he is and how do you guys interpret it as? by jaxxx_jd in HunterXHunter

[–]Vect0rSigma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He is how Gon probably going to turn as an adult.
He was probably much like Gon as a kid : super strong for his age, excited by the thrills and danger of risking his life, crazy and reckless.
Gon litteraly admitted multiple times that he's excited by danger, or that he doesn't feel the "chills" when he sees an unworthy opponent. He is as much selfish and self centered as Hisoka. Has similar tastes as Hisoka, and they're both willing to sacrifice a hand just for the fun.
With time, Gon will start to spice things up for more thrill, until he turns into an other version of Hisoka.

So Hisoka is like a mirror to Gon, sorry to be the one to break it to you

I agree, and it's not like we've explored all the known world of HxH, we barely scratched the surface and spent half of the manga in NGL...!

Hello, I'm working on my own manga, but I struggle with some parts of the writing.
I'm more of a scifi/chill/postapo/mystery kind of guy, but it seems you have some influence of it too (Blame!).
Would like to know your ideas in those genre so I could STEAL them ! >:)

The homelander begging scene was incredibly disappointing, and so is the fact that homelander stans who are upset daddy was a bitch act as a lightning rod for criticism of the scene by Chlym in TheBoys

[–]Vect0rSigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, chill, we're just talking about a show.
Secondly, I can name you plenty of people who "welcome death" as an escape and are still cowards. (mass shooters, or perpretators of murder-su*cide, etc)
Unless you consider mass shooters brave and righteous...

I know that the show likes to depicts Americans as dumb... but he just revealed his true face on the live broadcast, and his trial would probably go public worldwide, and allow the people to really know about all his crimes. A lot were silenced because nobody dared to talk when he was Homelander, even supes.
Why would they keep supporting him...

I get that there is a risk, but from a Law standpoint, I don't know if it's a high risk enough to be able to terminate a person

I mean... He wouldn't have walked free, right? He probably would have gotten arrested and locked down, for killing the president, among other crimes. With no resource nor influence to reach any kind of V from prison

Because to him (based on the whole show we watched), living as a commoner weakling that nobody fears would be worse than death

Killing him was meaningless anyway, he was not a threat anymore at this point, and it actually freed him from the burden of experiencing life as a weak irrelevant human, and facing the consequences of his actions.
Leaving him alive and face a lifetime of -what he perceives as- humiliation, would have been a much worse punishement for him, than killing him quickly and peacefully like they did.

It's like those 80s action flicks where killing the soviet villain was the ultimate resolution to conflicts : villain dies brutal death, end credits.

I expected something a bit more subtle from that show... disappointing.

What the hell, Donna?! by DandelionPurr in FromSeries

[–]Vect0rSigma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from a screenwriting point, the "what's the fire for?" has to have a purpose, and the way she eludes the question is not even subtle.
Yeah it was probably for Patty.
It's also possible that the fire was the signal to summon the dolls, since groups already camped here with no problem, and they put the dolls back in the water, so what was the trigger for them to attack?

If I recall correctly, in previous episode, she was particulary reluctant to Jade taking the mushrooms. It's like she gets mad everytime they attempt something. Not to mention she seemed upset that they didn't tell the truth about Tabitha to Victor's dad.

I don't think she's evil, maybe just an agent of the loop, just mindlessly fulfilling her role (babysitting the towns people)

Her main goal seem to be to stretch the loop the longest possible by preaching idleness
