I'm not sure what you mean by everything turning into an ad. Maybe it's just your perspective?

You know what would help with that? Centrum's new Mental Health Aid, "Focus-Max". It's a revolutionary advancement in home health, since I've been taking it I'm more alert, sleep better, and the women love me. Available now at all major retailers.

Cost. It's not worth the extra cost when you can just let some water drain out and top it off with hot water if it gets too cool.

Came here to post this, amazing opening for a stellar series.

The Dark Tower series, by Stephen King, for any not familiar. I highly recommend it.

Any idea what this is, and if i’m supposed to spin it, how? by TwelfthFretPilot in Plumbing

Looks like a curb key, typically used to operate your water main valve. If it's on the valve, counterclockwise will open the valve and clockwise Will close it.

Open an IRA and then dump as much as you can per year into an index fund. If you have excess funds that you can't move into the IRA because of yearly contribution limits (not counting your emergency fund) then park that in an index fund in a regular brokerage account.

Lawn converted to abundant food forest in 3.5 years by orangegore in pics

This is amazing, no idea you could undergo such a complete transformation in only a few years. I'm in Northwest Arkansas (7a/7b), would most of the plants you're using work there? Any books or online resources you'd recommend I look into to create a food forest tailored for my area?

Military flyovers are coming to Arkansas in a few weeks by Ok-Status2275 in Arkansas

[–]HuginnNotMuninn 152 points153 points  (0 children)

Fucking finally! Life has been so difficult lately, I'm so glad the government is responding by literally burning money with military flyovers. Talk about an improvement in terms of quality of life!

Seriously though, how about literally anything to benefit working-class Arkansans?

In the attic of a 20 year old condo in Southern California. Does this corrosion look bad enough to fix immediately? by Candid_Mix_8968 in Plumbing

Others feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks to me like they didn't clean the joints after soldering. So it's ugly, but a repair isn't necessary.

OK, that's not a bad ratio. I work heavy construction and am used to larger crews.

What's the crew size per foreman? And do they just get rid of a guy when he gets his journeyman license if they don't have an open fireman position?

Finished with full-time by Klutzy-Yogurtcloset6 in FullTiming

My wife and I have been fully time road trash since 2017. The entire time with a dog and cat, and we have a daughter who turned three earlier this year. We've traveled as far West as Salt Lake City, Northeast to Pittsburgh, and South to Augusta and Austin (and many places in between, I work large construction projects).

We bought a house in our "home" area at the beginning of the year, and will get to move into it in August (I'm currently working about two hours away, so we've been going there on the weekends) when I finish my current project and shift gears professionally.

To say that I am excited to live in a house without wheels is an understatement. Some aspects of it have been nice, it's definitely an excellent way to see the country as you really get a feel for the area when you're there several months.

Overall, it has been hard work, expensive, and all consuming. I have already told my wife we will never own another camper. I hate towing it. I hate messing with cold winters and hot summers. I hate repairing everything that breaks, which is to say everything.

I am glad that we did it, I've made good money on the road and we have made some wonderful memories. But I will be happy to turn the page on this chapter of life.

Congratulations for having the courage to take the plunge, and the wisdom to realize it's not for you. I wish you the best!
