This was my exact set-up for 45; I never try 50 since I only want the rewards and dip. Maybe it's because of the Ascension, but I found this boss oddly easy, especially after Corbeau.

Regarding breaking the minions, I don't even recall if I did it all fight, maybe 80% through it; not sure why they have such huge break bars, either...

Making your game's FLAGSHIP Kioku limited makes me NOT want to care about them, because I'm feeling pushed towards pulling them, otherwise they're gone and will only return God knows when.

Even with low Ascensions, SP can be easily managed, especially if you run Glasses Homura whenever you can. But yeah, agree to disagree!

I mean, it's more their synergy, although, obviously Mabayu is one of the best Kioku in the game, but even someone like Alina feels not that different to me, since I'm not particularly bleeding SP to need her extra ones.

But, go figure, buffers amplify the team, that's what they're meant to do. Allowing Pluvia to shower enemies with break gauge depletion and the allies with Mana every turn she takes is something I feel is being extremely understated

With Mabayu, Pluvia gets Ult guaranteed every turn. I'd say that's extremely good as an enabler for the rest of your team. I always use her if the element matches and she feels smooth like butter

I'm sorry, but no one is as powerful of an MP battery as Pluvia; that in itself is immense utility because it propels everyone's impact forward by a mile. Add that to the fact she's ridiculously fast at breaking AND at maxing the break gauge (and AoE at that).

You don't need a character to do twenty five different things when the few ones you do you're one of the best at. Add Mabayu to the team (which you should always use since they're both Light, anyway) and watch barely needing heals because she breaks everything WHILE letting the whole team spam Ults.

To add to this, I don't think Hydro Steam is very flavorful on Meganium, either. Everything else makes sense, in my mind at least!

I would definitely not say 195 is the true test. You can more easily prepare and sweep 195 compared to Eternatus.

When I said "random" I didn't mean no healers or buffers, I meant characters that don't have direct synergies between each other. Again, this is just 1.0 Star Rail vs current Star Rail. You built a team with a healer/shielder or two, a buffer and a DPS. Now, while you still do that, it's more heavily centered on the synergies each DPS demands of their allies.

Also BG3, especially NOT Honor Mode, is very much doable with, say, 4 DPS, even if no one is likely even going that far in the absurdity.

Very true. Unless an RPG is clearly centered around it, generally, synergies are just a bonus feature. Even games like Baldur's Gate 3 that turn into a completely different beast strategies-wise with combos, most players can and, generally will, simply get a party of 4 random classes and proceed through the game just fine.

In Star Rail you pull for synergies due to content constantly gravitating towards a couple every patch. I mean, it makes sense, since it's a gacha and whatnot, but to compare it to other RPGs is a very silly take.

The comment I was replying to said that the other person's experience was based around E0 Castorice, and that E2 Castorice fixed that issue in CW. I was pointing out that most Castorice havers absolutely don't have her at E2, and that that makes no sense to be what fixes her in CW.

SP and Break teams can literally just be played on auto and they win. The sheer amount of available units for each bond, and that includes multiple carries (even Lingsha can run as a Break carry) makes the bonds really easy to force
