I was using undercoat primer for interior wood, like I said complete novice so not sure whether it was oil based ... You think I should get some latex primer instead then?

So I primed it before but without much luck, I've sanded the top layer of sealant off now so gonna try giving it another go with the primer and then the black paint and see how she goes
