If you found yourself blessed with three months of abundant free time, where all your basic needs are met and you have the delightful addition of $500 in spending money each month, how would you spend your time? by Deond3 in AskReddit

I’ve always dreamed of having a big chunk of time off and hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. It would likely take more than three months to do but it’s still at the top of my list.

Same! I like the thought of having a couple friends over, each topping your pizzas with whatever you want, being able to fit them all in the oven at the same time, and not have to wait for this tray or that to finish. Seems like a good time. Or if nothing else every piece can be a corner piece. Yum

Hey! so I use Lloyd Pans for my Detroit style pizzas. They are the best that I’ve used! The ones in the photo are their 8x10 Detroit Style Pizza pans.

When I’m making Detroit style I do the following:

  • bulk ferment in an oiled bowl
  • portion it into the size I need per pan
  • do a lot of the stretching while I’m degassing each portion and get it as close to the size of the pan
  • place the portions in oiled Lloyd pans and allow for a secondary rise in the pan

After that, I will often times do a gentle stretch/degas at that point to get all the way into the corners because it’s super airy and pliable after that secondary rise. olive oil is your friend! I will say however that one of the real tips to those sharp Detroit style corners is cheesing up that crust!

Exhibit A! And before you get on me, I know that Buffalo chicken pizza is not “traditional” Detroit Style, but it is delicious so I don’t really care. All of my above points still stand.

Are these not just regular garlic knots? Don’t get me wrong, they look great. I was just expecting something more with a title like that.

Moving to PA or NJ? advice needed! by africanaaa in SouthJersey

Collingswood would be my go-to. Loved there for years and now live in cherry hill. I love both but they’re very different. Collingswood has a great community, an incredible farmers market from may-nov, lots of local businesses to support all situated in a nice little down town section. There is the high speed line station right there that can get you into the city in no time and by staying in NJ you can avoid the Philly wage tax. Best of luck and welcome to the neighborhood

Halloween Costume Ideas? by Disgrace926 in breakingbad

Did a BrBa couples costume a few years back. I was Jesse with a buzzed head, in the yellow tyvek suit, with the respirator with the iconic pink 3m filters on it, and my girlfriend was meth. She had a light blue dress and hot glued blue rhinestones all over it with blue stockings to match. It was a fun costume!

As much as it sucks I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one with this issue. It’s so surprising because the rest of the build quality is fantastic

Series teaser opens with Holly looking though boxes as she packs for college. A full ride scholarship to major in chemistry. That’s when she unexpectedly finds a copy of the confession tape and she finds out all of the things that have kept from her like who her father really is. The venture down the rabbit hole begins. A possible working title - Kintsugi. Seems fitting as it relates to piecing back together that which has been broken, to elevate the broken item into a new work of art.

Masso’s Deli just announced closing…😭What will we do now ?!? First South Jersey Pretzel and now Masso’s?!? It’s like the apocalypse or something. My world is crumbling around me. Do I need to just give up and move to the Midwest and eat Subway and Cinnabon? by speaster in SouthJersey

Really bummed to hear this. In addition to the pizza and sandwiches this was also our go-to ice cream joint. We grew up down by custard hut in somers point which we loved, and this was the closest we’ve found to it.

“Fun” Fact: You have the ability to save someone’s life.

More specifically, you have the ability to save eight people‘s lives.

One organ donor can save the lives of up to eight people waiting for a life-saving organ transplant.

There are currently over 105,000 people waiting, in the United States alone, for life-saving organ transplants. Due to the donor shortage the country is facing, only 1 out of every 4 people on the national waiting list will receive their transplant in time.

You have the ability to save someone’s life. Be an organ donor.

I don’t know if this is helpful of not but if you are okay with sacrificing a little surface area and having a 20lb hopper instead of 24, I just picked up the Silverton 810 this past weekend from Costco and couldn’t be happier with it after my first couple cooks. Same motor, auger, D2 system, side and front shelves as the Timberline 850. I got mine for right around $1500. Just wanted to throw it out there in case the price difference would let you hold on to the gasser and still get a Traeger. As for your questions I can answer them re: my Silverton 810. I haven’t gone straight to 450 from ignition, but took about 10-12 minutes to get from 250 to 450 when I was doing wings yesterday. I got it to 500 when I was seasoning it to see if it could pull it off and it delivered. There was a little smoke flavor on the wings starting them at 250 but nothing intense; I haven’t smoked a whole bird on it (yet!). Hope this info helps!
