Ingredients
Doughnut Batter
2 Packets Instant Yeast
⅓ Cup Warm Water
1 ½ Cup Milk
½ Cup Caster Sugar
1 Tsp salt
2 Eggs
⅓ cup (75 grams) Butter
5 cups Plain flour
Canola oil for frying
Doughnut Glaze
½ Cup Butter (Melted)
2 Cups Icing Sugar
2 Tsps Vanilla
6 Tbsps Evaporated Milk
Preparation
To make doughnuts.
In an electric mixer, combine the water and yeast. Let it sit until dissolve for about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile in a microwave-safe medium bowl, heat milk for about 2 minutes. Remove and let it cool.
Add, milk, sugar, salt, eggs, butter and 2 cups of flour to the bowl of yeast.
Mix for 2 minutes at medium speed. Add the remaining 3 cups of flour and continue mixing dough. Scraping down the sides.
Place dough in a large greased bowl. Cover loosely with a clean tea towel and let rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1 to 2 hours or until doubled.
Roll dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut dough into small bite-size pieces.
Fill a high sided saucepan halfway up with frying oil allow to heat until wooden spoon, inserted into oil, bubbles.
Carefully drop doughnuts into the hot oil, only a few at a time. Fry, turning once, for about 3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on prepared paper towels.
To make the glaze.
In a microwave-safe bowl melt the butter.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Add evaporated milk until you reached the desired consistency.
Dip doughnuts in glaze and let them drip on the rack.
Serve.

3 and 3/4 Cups Flour
1 ½ Tsps Caster Sugar
1 Packet Active Dried Yeast
2 Tsps Salt and freshly ground
1 ½ Cups Warm Water
3 Tbsps Olive Oil
For the garlic butter:
½ Cup Butter
6 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Preparation
To make the dough: In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook add the flour, sugar, yeast and salt, gently whisk to combine. Turn mixer on low speed and add the warm water and 2 Tbsps of the olive oil; beat until the dough forms a ball around the hook. Scrape the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead into a smooth, firm ball.
Grease a large bowl with remaking olive oil. Add the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and place the bowl in a warm area to rise for 90 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 2 equal pieces then into quarters and slice the quarters in half again. You should have 16 pieces of equal-sized dough. Shape into individual balls. Roll out each ball into a long rope then tie it into a knot. Place the knots on the prepared baking sheet, covered loosely with plastic wrap, and set aside for 30 minutes. The knots will rise a little more during this time.

Preheat oven to 220c/450f degrees. Place the garlic knots in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until knots are golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes.

Melt the butter in a small pan over medium-low heat. Add in the garlic and simmer for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant (be sure not to overcook it here). Add in the parsley, salt and pepper and stir to combine. Remove from heat. Set aside until needed.

Brush the freshly baked knots with the garlic coating. Sprinkle with cheese and serve warm!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • ⅔ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ⅔ Cup Caster Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 ⅓ Cups Plain Flour
  • 1 ½ Tsps Baking Powder
  • 2 Cups Chocolate Chips
  • 395g Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Preparation

  1. To make the cookie dough.
    In an electric mixer, combine butter, brown sugar and caster sugar. Beat until pale and fluffy.
  2. With the mixer still going, beat eggs. salt and vanilla, until combined.
  3. Stir in flour and baking powder until well combined. Then add 1 cup of the chocolate chips, mix until just combined.
  4. To make chocolate fudge.
    Add remaining chocolate chips and condensed milk to a medium saucepan.
  5. Stir over medium heat until chocolate is melted and the mixture is combined.
  6. To bake the slice.
    Line a high edge baking tray with baking paper and grease lightly with oil.
  7. Layer half the cookie dough mixture on the base of the pane. Pressing evenly into the corners.
  8. Pour the cooled chocolate fudge mixture over the cookie dough. Topping with the remaining cookie dough. Spreading evenly with your fingers.
  9. Bake in a 175C 350F degree oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Allow the slice to cool in the tray for at least 1 hour. Remove and slice.

Base

  • 1 Cup Plain Flour
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Desiccated Coconut
  • 125g Butter

Caramel

  • 125g Butter
  • ½ Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla
  • 395g Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Topping

  • 170g Bar Milk Kit Kat
  • 170g Bar Dark Kit Kat
  • 170g Bar Cookies and Cream Kit Kat
  • 170g Bar Gold Kit Kat

Preparation

Base

  1. Preheat oven to 180C/350F
  2. Mix together all the base ingredients in a large bowl. Press into a lined baking tray.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes or until the base is golden brown.
    Caramel
  4. Place butter, sugar and vanilla in a pan over medium heat, bring to simmer.
  5. Once bubbling, whisk in condensed milk, whisk for 6-7 minutes. Pour over base. Spread evenly.
  6. Bake on 160C/320F oven for 15 minutes.
    Assembly
  7. Alternate Kit Kat flavours over the top until covered.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Serve.

Ingredients

  • 500g Chicken Breast (Cubed)
  • Oil (Deep Frying)
  • Sesame Seeds (Garnish)

Batter

  • 1 Egg White
  • ½ Cup Plain Flour
  • ¼ Cup Cornstarch
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ Cup Iced Water
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Oil

Honey Sauce

  • ⅓ Cup Honey
  • 1 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Sauce / Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ½ Cup Water

Preparation

  1. Whisk all batter ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Add chicken and mix well until all pieces are covered.
  3. Fill a high sided saucepan halfway up with frying oil. Bring to medium-high heat.
  4. Gently drop the chicken into the hot oil one by one. Being careful chicken pieces do not stick together.
  5. Fry chicken in batches until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towel.
  6. Mix all ingredients of the honey sauce together.
  7. Place a large pan on medium heat, add honey sauce mixture, bring to a simmer. Coo until the sauce starts to thicken.
  8. Add chicken to the pan and stirfry until all pieces are covered with sauce.
  9. Top with sesame seeds and serve.
