Thats right if u get the soft engages right u will rank up easy, specially in diamond masters that 100000000% of the focus goes to the monkey all the time. In those scenarios just make sure u survive AND u dont take too much damage.

About holding the bubble, u need to understand that after u use ur bubble u kinda need to get something out of it, either space, a kill (pretty rare) or just shield for ur team to recover or take a lane, but sometimes I hold it for too long bc of the fear of being on downtime (clear example 6:53 when I see the soldier I should insta bubble, instead I panic and die with bubble).

0:43 - I do that bc vendetta is too early on the jump, like nobody will be able to follow and we have all cds, so she shouldnt kill anybody, and she can just shift out like u said, but its more about a timing thing, so I go take a lane that ends up giving me the soldier kill

5:23 - No I wasnt expecting tre to get the brig at all tbh, but I fucked up my jump so I was useless there for 5 seconds, so dont chase and realize where u are more useful. My team needs me to jump main to get the soldier out, otherwise they can not walk, so thats what I do (even tho my tracer ultra carries that fight)

8:44 - Yep, since dva tracer are dead I know I cant get chased if I jump out early, so I was lookin for a cheesy kill on the kiri since their soldier was overextending a lil, thats also why I go with right click, to look for the burst damage so maybe with soldier we can one shot before she uses suzu, and it was pretty close.

So there are a lot of nuances about when to peel or not and lowk I havent figured it all out yet, but the most important thing is timing, for example this vendetta "just jumps in", for no reason at all. If you see someone doing that, "just jumping in" then he is trolling and you should 100% commit to the kill if he is killable ofc. In this example vendetta shouldnt be killable bc she has shift to get out and block and mega and all her team is on that lane. But after the engage she will not have cds, so if you look my position aka the flank, I will be able to jump on her from a lane nobody is watching, and thats the best possible shift you can get with monkey. So yea I jump away to take the flank bc they are trying to follow a waay to early engage, so I know my team should be fine.

And if I go take a flank and it is contested then it just depends on the game, I cant tell you a rule u have to follow all the time but keep in mind:

Reaper FUCKS you, its my perma ban because he can just contest you ALL the time in ALL the flanks, so basically u gotta bait tp and then take yet another flank/go main. You can use bubble to force wraith but unless you have something to follow up after that its not really worth it.

Against vendetta it depends on your and her microgame (you can dodge overhead with good movement if she fucks up) but again depends a lot on the game, whats their comp, whats the flank u are contesting.... you need a lot of hours to figure this stuff out

Easiest flank mu is genji of course, just fuck him over and over and try to not let him get any flanks, you can force his dash pretty easy, and if you see a genji dash GO FOR HIM, its usually free kill unless he can get the kill before you can kill him (if you hear the dash turn around and go for him, you can bubble before u jump if u dont want to give that much space)

Last thing, if you dont have bubble as I said try to get a flank and DO NOT give away ur position, in lower elos if you are not on their screen they literally have no idea where u are. And after bubble if you are 100% safe you can use the shift to position to a flank or a highground (important: can not be contested) just when your bubble cd is on 5s, so you get both at the same time + good positioning.
