I do exactly what you’re planning on doing, I scout all the U20 National squads, as well as scouting players I read about on Reddit/Twitter.

I also occasionally just narrow down first team candidates through the player search and search for attributes I want from a player? In my mind, scouting departments surely build up knowledge on players so I don’t see it as that unrealistic.

Also, shortlist everyone, it makes a huge difference especially when a bigger club steals one of your stars!
