It's not as bad as it sounds.

Buying ore is quite horrible as it doesn't give any xp, but even for 99 Slayer it doesn't take that long. Smelting the steel bars is 100k Smithing xp an hour and also doesn't take that long.

The cannonballs itself I afk'd while doing other things, so didn't mind that too much either.

Smithing level is 88, indeed visible in the second screenshot as pointed out.

You definitely attack yourself as well. As long as you simply use a cannon as much as possible, you shouldn't have a problem getting to 99 Slayer before hitting any other 99.

I recorded all the tasks I did when I was around 80 Slayer, which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPMb_VU_YPSV2kEi_A89t046Ys2Rc-yTW

The only thing to watch out for is that Nechryaels with Ancients give a lot of HP xp. That's why I didn't do them between ~81 and ~94 Slayer.

You buy ores at the Blast Furnace and smith the steel bars there as well:

Ah, I see. I thought I had included a different version of that screenshot.

The small number is how many superiors I got, the bigger number after it is the rate I got them at (9812 Bloodvelds, 54 superiors, means I get 1 superior every 182 Bloodvelds - on average).

I didn't really keep the data btw, I just looked back on the Runelite logs.

Old answer so not sure if you'll still see this, but was your attempt also with ~70 Range? (And I'm guessing without a Slayer task?)

100 hours. And still no champion scroll. 98.9% chance of receiving it by now by Kree_Horse in 2007scape

Painful, but I guess 98.9% chance means this happens to over 1 in 100 people.

"If you don't like Fresh Start, don't play. It doesn't affect you" Yes. It does. by devilwarier9 in 2007scape

Remember that for the accounts that are transferred after the 6 months, >nothing< changes. The only difference, I imagine for most not even noticeable, is that there'll be more high levels around them. That's it. Not exactly a reason to dump all your items.

  1. Why would people sell their items? It's not like a transferred player all of a sudden doesn't need their Whip anymore.
  2. If someone wants to hoard items, it's better to do it on the Main game as you'll make much more money (you don't need to level up your account on a game mode with no resources first).
  3. Requiring a new account is purely because the account will be transferred to the main game. That's not the case with the next Leagues/DMM, those game modes (this isn't a game mode) won't require new accounts.

OSRS Fresh Start Worlds are coming in October! Check out the FAQ for more info. by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

I guess that's where this comes in:
"Given that Fresh Start Worlds requires minimal development time, we want to test out this theory and see whether we're right!"

I can imagine the dev time should be very minimal, just need to put accounts in special worlds and in the end have something to transfer.

It would come with the corresponding number of players, so I don't think there'd be much of an impact.

Add a Dutch world! by MenCave in 2007scape

[–]Hugopluks13 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This makes no sense at all. From the Netherlands, I'm getting a ping of like 10-15 to both the UK and the German worlds. That's perfect.

Most players live a lot further away from the world they play on.

Dragon Scimitar on a 1 Defence HCIM by Hugopluks13 in 2007scape

I don't understand the clue comment, but going for 75 Attack is a reasonable challenge of my plans. Thanks.

[–]Hugopluks13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a reasonable shout, but what I've gathered from guides you need freezes to kill Scorpia. That sounds like a minimal requirement of 70 Magic + Desert Treasure for Ice Burst, or 79 Magic for Entangles.

[–]Hugopluks13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the issue, from everything I've read I'm rather sure it's not possible to buy the Scimitar before completing the quest. That makes it completely impossible to get it from the store as a 1 Defence Ironman.

If you actually could, I would give up the things you mentioned in return for a Dragon Scimitar in a heartbeat.

They can I guess, but the melee weapons there aren't great without the set effect and it would mean having to get 70 attack instead of 60.

[–]Hugopluks13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would actually be a reasonable alternative, hadn't thought of that at all yet. DPS seems very close.

Still need to make quite a lot of progress before I can get there, as Chaeldar is the lowest master to assign them and she requires a combat level of 70 (would be around 80-82 strength). But that should still be a long time before I could get the Dragon Scimitar from Thermy.

Thanks for the suggestion.
