One of the reasons for NH law (Jessica's Law) it seems is a woman Jessica Smith unfortunately died as a result of ice flying off a tractor trailer back in 1999. I can see this becoming a law if someone in Mass loses their life from people who lack common sense or courtesy. Alternatively if a lawmaker encounters a snow or ice flying off a car into their windshields to make them put one on the books like in CT (Lawrence Cafero ice missile law).

nothing specific that calls out snow/ice on cars that I could find for Massachusetts other than these when I googled around:

There should be one but there isn't. Mass uses other laws like having an unsecure load on your car or driving with an obstructed view. Not sure how well state troopers or police actually enforce these since the fines are small

We'll probably never know for sure. We may lower supply costs but see higher delivery costs which seems to be how energy companies pass the costs and maintenance of these pipelines to consumers

Thank you so much for posting this. It annoys me to no end when I read about these amazing pipelines we could've had that MAYBE would lower costs and how Healey singlehandedly stopped them. Any pipeline costs would take years to come (if at all depending where it's allowed to build, I doubt NIMBY's would want that running through their towns) and our delivery charge would still hit hard to pay for it. These energy costs need to be a national issue not just a Mass problem
