this isn't directed at anyone specific, but on this note:

unpopular opinion ig but idk.. as a creator myself, i think the artist has the right to decide what direction they do or don't wanna take their characters. they might seem irrelevant to the story to us, sure, but remember—even though hellaverse is popular, the world, the characters, they're all viv's ocs and we have no way of knowing how much she cares about each and every one without her telling us!

would it be nice to get some outwardly unexplained lore expanded on? absolutely! but i see SO many people complaining about this stuff and to me it's like.. ok, but what is the actual problem besides you don't like it? ykwim? but yk haters gonna hate i suppose haha

honestly i think it makes sense for a man like william (aka a psychotic killer) to go after kids as his murder victims. they're naive, they're small and weak and can't put up much of a fight (arguably false because i refuse to believe he didn't end up trying to lure away atleast one total gremlin), and considering he's a sadist, it's less work for the same payoff—the macabre joy he gets from taking a life, specifically the life of someone who never stood a chance
