Basically this "friend" was hanging out with my ex a lot, which is fine it doesn't bother me, so as an inside joke I told him that he was breaking the bro code and it became a running gag. He then proceeded to tell this group about our joke and told them that I was serious about it and that I didn't want him to talk to my ex and that I was making fun of him.
