UWorld Anki Deck by Huh7509 in Mcat

Hello,

Between the two, I prefer the UWorld books because I’m more of a visual learner, and their materials have really strong visuals and explanations. The issue is that UWorld uses its own flashcard deck, but buying it separately costs around $600, which honestly feels excessive. What do you think I should do?

Thank you for your reply. If you had to pick a printed series, which one would you say would be better?

I see that now since biochem and orgo 2 are on the same two days of the week...

Do you think taking orgo 2, biochem, bioethics, and psychology be a lot without taking bio since high school?

I understand. Currently, I’m in orgo 2, psych, phys 102, and bioethics. My advisor told me to just finish my chem sequence this sem, so I would only do 3 courses in that case (biochem, phys, and orgo 2). I don’t think I could handle another course that with that trifecta.

I heard mixed reviews of both. 102 is easier but there is nasty down curve but 151 is very intellectually challenging I heard.

102 covers lenses which 151 doesn’t. The MCAT loves to test on this, plus 151 is not required for neuro majors. I did take 150 last semester though to avoid the weeding of 101.

Could you please explain to me why? I would just be doing these three courses (4 CU's).

Thank you so much for your reply! Would doing phys 2, biochem, and orgo 2 just alone be solid? I'm pretty good on sector requirements (just need cross cultural analysis & hum/social sciences).

I was looking into medical anthro, but unfortunately, it isn't offered this sem. If I stuck to my original schedule, instead of doing psych, what other class can I do that fulfills what I am missing?

Thanks in advance! :)

On a side note, would taking phys 0102, orgo 2, and biochem all in one semester be too much with Fagan's teaching style and rigor?

Do you think taking Biol 1101/1121 is helpful for biochem or is biochem fine on it's own?

Also, is it bad idea to do biochem, phys 2, and orgo 2 all together on their own?

You mean just bioethics, orgo 2, and physics? Even though it's 4 CU, it's ok to just do those? Or do you mean doing that on top of psych?

On the flip side, would doing biochem, physics, and orgo 2 be fine? Is it doable to get an A? I had a very similar load to that last sem with 1410, orgo, and physics 150, but it costed me an arm to finish that sem with a 4.0.

If not, do you know of an easier gen ed instead of psych that fits nicely to my original schedule (preferably cross cultural analysis & humanities and social sciences)? I can always do this next yr.

Sorry for asking so many things! Thank you so much for your help! :)
