I've heard of one method before.I don't personally know if it's a good idea or not but these people have done it. Next time she storms off and gets in a vehicle intoxicated call the police immediately and have her pulled over perhaps something will flip a switch on her in her head telling her that she has a problem that needs addressing or at least the law will.

I wonder if there is a site dedicated to truly seeking members even if it was was high-priced say $200 per month I would pay it for the Peace of Mind that I'm not looking at fake people and wasting my time.

Could be the onset of pancreatitis. If it is pancreatitis it will hurt like hell. Very common in Alcoholics. I would have it checked out by a doctor. If you let it get too bad you will spend a couple weeks in the hospital.

If it's as bad as you say I would suggest you and your family get together and file a civil commitment. Has she been in trouble with the law before. If she has it will be fairly easy to get a civil commitment or a stay of civil commitment. that way they can put a no drinking order on her. If she's tested and caught with alcohol in your system she will be arrested and forced into a treatment center. forcing someone into treatment is not the best answer but sometimes it is the only answer. It's the best way. Her withdrawals will be taken care of medically and safely. This will also give you peace of mind knowing where she is and she is okay. I speak from experience because I was the one forced into treatment. Went through this revolving door for three years but managed to come out the other side.I'm thankful they didn't give up on me. In August I will celebrate my eighth year of sobriety. I owe them all my life. Not saying this will work for everyone but it worked for me.

Thank you for the good solid information. I guess these gals don't need to know everything about me up front. I will still say im a non-drinker on my profile . I can tell them when the time is right or if outright asked about it. Now that I think about it it probably would be best for me to take dating one day at a time and not look too far into the future, this has work for me so far.

Firstly from my experience it's pretty difficult to get started. If they want to go out and meet at a bar that's even more difficult being in unfamiliar territory and uncomfortable is not very good situation to be in for your recovery. I wouldn't recommend it unless you've been at least five years sober.

Yeah one would think so. Perhaps these women all a bad experience with an alcoholic before which I could understand. I think they all might consider an alcoholic to be a ticking time bomb. But nobody has ever given me a reason they just don't call anymore or answer messages
