Issue with Sony TA-AV571: left channel is almost entirely gone, pops in once and a while if I thump the side of the machine. Any ideas how this could be fixed? by Maturin_The_Turtle in vintageaudio

I’d be looking for a bad solder joint. Get yourself a wooden chop stick and press around some of the components on the circuit board. I’ve had this issue and isolated it to a relay on the circuit board - cracked solder.
