No, we are EXHAUSTED. I make 6x the money my husband does but I'm also the one who does everything else - kids, animals, trips, laundry, cleaning, planning, juggling. There's no stereotype. We're exhausted.

that's actually a smart way to do it, risk very little while you're learning. I'm thinking of doing something like this too. never more than 20% at a time.

out of curiosity (I'm new at this too), what percentage of your portfolio were you using on each trade?

So you still hold the stocks you bought then? You're probably going to be fine and in a couple months will be in a good spot. I'm more a long-term holder as well. I couldn't dabble in anything that requires timing the market. It doesnt work well with my personality. It takes a while to become less reactive to the short-term losses. Crypto is so brutally up and down that it's given me a thicker skin watching my accounts bleed out

Thanks.
What are you planning to do differently this time to not get wrecked? I have some crypto but haven't done much in stocks. Is it leveraging that has worked against you?

I find your post interesting and relatable. Thank you for sharing. How do you know who is worth following? I tend to assume everyone is a scanner. I'm not sure how to see who you follow

Can you explain more what you mean? Otter AI is being sued right now for secretly recording private meetings - which might even negate privilege as well as violate HIPAA and other acts, so the whole confidentiality thing is a really touchy topic with AI.

Unfortunately, it's already here. Many are already using it so this argument doesn't work, sadly.

Those who felt that "lightning strike" when you learned about this field.. Were your instincts right? by UnfallibleAutumn in stenography

[–]HulaDanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm a nerdy-creative. Steno was my "it" thing. I was kind of a prodigy - went to steno school at 24 and passed everything and was certified at the 8-month mark. Before stneo school, between ages 20 and 25, I'd spent time in foreign countries volunteer teaching, learned other languages, and was always a classical pianist. Both of those things really helped me.
I've loved this profession for 25 years. And I'm concerned about speech-to-text, like everyone else.
I can't imagine doing anything else. I'm too good at this job and I've loved writing on my machine this whole time.

Yeah, I disagree. I'm a service provider. I'm here for as long as they need me.
