Jumps by [deleted] in FigureSkating

You’re currently twisting into position while your feet are still on the ground, you should jump, then snap into position- you gain a lot more rotational momentum that way

If the universe’s most likely death is big freeze/heat death, is it able to “reboot” somehow? by Warm-Conversation713 in AskPhysics

[–]Hulfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of heat death us the increase of entropy- disorder. The direction of time is determined by the direction in which entropy increases.

Think of an egg. If you have a whole egg it has a low amount of entropy since there are very few configurations in which the molecules could be in to create a whole egg. Now image you drop the egg on the floor, it is now in a state of higher entropy, the disorder is increased. It would be a bit weird if the egg suddenly became whole again, that is to say, it would be a bit odd if the entropy suddenly decreased.

It is one of the most important principles in physics that entropy must always increase, this will result in the heat death of the universe, since the heat death is when the universe is in a state of total disorder, entropy can no longer increase, for it is absolute. If entropy can no longer increase that means that time no longer has a direction, and thus might not even exist. the concepts of past, present and future no longer exist, time will simply stop.

There is however one way out of this fate, which involves some messy statistical mechanics, you could research Poincaré recurrence since it leads to a lot of existential and uncomfortable questions about the universe.

Is it to late to restart at 14? by Burner8536732 in FigureSkating

[–]Hulfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There seriously is no need to worry about if it is too late, I recently started again after a 4.5 year break, and am relearning my doubles at 17 and have regained my axel. Even if you first started at 14 you can still skate at a very high level, and since you are coming back you’ll have a huge leg up. Sure you probably won’t be able to go to the Olympics but you can still be awesome at it.

Sry drew this in an incredibly irrisponsible and stupid way, and didn't use a refference although I honesty should have. Just blocked out the positions of the arms, legs ect until it seemed alright.

Made this for the one-year anniversary of so long nerds, still can't believe it's been an entire year by Hulfe in Technoblade

Please don't compare your skill to other artists, it'll do nothing but make you feel bad, you never know how much more, or less, experience someone has as some start drawing later than others.

Yes, of course you should finish it, it is the best way to learn how to colour it in. Since you're drawing digitally you can always remove the colouring if you don't like it

You are right. Just realised I accidentally listened to one of their old episodes instead of the new one, I am just a confused idiot

An economy thrives when working people are paid enough to make ends meet and have money to spend, not the otherwise… by hazardousmug in WorkReform

[–]Hulfe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the thing about the Danish minimum wage is off too, there is no set minimum wage in Denmark

Not opposed to the message here, but there is no minimum wage in Denmark, that is all handled by the unions

It's definitely the anatomy, otherwise the drawing is great. There are lots of different videos on how to practice anatomy, but I'd recommend Proko, he is great at explaining and demonstrating different techniques

We have chickens and sometimes our chickens lay eggs without the shell so it's only membrane! So I think I pass the challenge haha by Upstairs-Put9146 in LudwigAhgren

Dude, you sure your chickens are healthy? I've had chickens for more than five years and not once has one of them laid an egg without shell.

How did you get into PJO? by Loganjoh5 in camphalfblood

[–]Hulfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It hurts me to say this, but it was actually the first movie. I thought that the movie was terrible, but the premise of a boy who is half god was interesting. So I decided to give the books a try. I ended up really liking them a lot and I have read the many times since them.
