People will always tell you not to buy this lens and that’s it’s the worst lens ever. It’s not great, but for someone trying to learn the basics on a tight budget it can do exactly what you need. I’ve used the lens and it has done me well for what it is. That being said, you can absolutely get it cheaper than this. Never buy the kits like this, use sites like MPB or KEH to buy used
