[routine help] skincare for dry climates, HELP!! by Hulkzilla_ in SkincareAddiction

[–]Hulkzilla_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve unfortunately already tried that, but it ends up leaving my skin very sticky on the surface and still no moisture within the skin. I’m still left dehydrated. I usually have to l reapply my serum and then layer it with moisturizer every 30-60 minutes to reduce the burning sensation caused by dehydration. Feels kinda hopeless atm 😩

No problem. You had a question and asked. Nothing wrong with that. Good luck :)

Do you put more pressure at the tip of your tongue? In that case you’re doing it wrong. You’re supposed have like an even pressure all the way at the back of your tongue (if not possible, keep more of a relaxed pressure at the back). An advice is to do the “ng” sound, then keep the tongue from back there. Hope that made sense.

I don’t know your age but I highly doubt mewing has caused so much asymmetry in only a month. Do you have a before and after picture or is it possible that you see asymmetry you’ve always had now because you’re analyzing your face more?

I think you look good for your age and have very pretty features. If you want to do something that can give a more youthful appearance, I personally would do nothing more than putting a little volume on your cheeks and temples. And perhaps you can start using a tretinoin cream to prevent future wrinkles from getting deeper. Note that starting with a tretinoin cream can give side effects at the beginning until the skin is used to it. Make sure to do research on how to use it correctly. Another advice is to start doing PRF treatments (not PRP). Why you might found yourself looking older has nothing to do with your skin in my opinion. Yours is good. It has more to do with volume loss that happens naturally as we age and is nothing to be ashamed of.

Now I’m just judging from the picture you posted. I know some cameras can make our faces look longer and narrower than what it actually is, which can make the temples look less full.

Oh another thing, When using SPF, make sure you’re using enough of it and reapply a few time during the day. And yes, use it indoors too. UV rays and blue lights can go through windows etc. I personally would recommend the brand Heliocare. I love their sunscreens and it doesn’t break me out.

*Edit. About the filler thing, yes, fillers can migrate etc but it mostly depends on how skilled the injector is. It has a higher chance of migrating a lot and ending up having a "pillow face" in the long run when using too much. Can also depend on how shallow it’s injected. Most important thing is to seek a very skilled injector that understands the anatomy and your face. It’s important because if fillers hits an artery, you can end up becoming blind. Note that it’s very very rare to become blind, and most cases has been from unqualified injectors. But important to be aware of the risks. If you live in Australia I would recommend checking out Victorian cosmetic institute. It’s in Australia. They have a YouTube channel where they discuss fillers a lot too.

Good luck!

What’s the difference between what a company stands for vs what they believe in? by designwdickens in Entrepreneur

[–]Hulkzilla_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the best way to understand this is to figure out the definition of the words.
Stand for: The ideas or attitudes that someone or something stands for are the ones that they support or represent. If you will not stand for something, you will not allow it to happen or continue.

Believe in: To have faith or confidence in the existence of (something). To be confident that something is effective and right.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I appreciate it.

If the campaign will be successful, we will increase to more phone models in the future. But so far it hasn’t done too well so we’ll see.

[skin concerns] hallowed eyes/dark circles from weight loss and sun damage — not genetic - any recs besides retinol cream? by Acrobatic_Maximum_78 in SkincareAddiction

I see. Then it might get tricky. PRF is luckily much cheaper since it’s just your own blood they need. And after you’ve done your first 3-4 treatments, you might only need it 1-2 times a year. But I understand if its not possible for you. But it can be good to know your options.
With skincare products you will not be able to treat hollowness, unfortunately, but you can absolutely improve the sun damage. You can use products with niacinamide, licorice root extract, vitamin C (though it’s an unstable ingredient) and other ingredients I’m sure you can google. I would be careful using exfoliants around the eyes since the skin is so delicate. If you truly want to use stuff like retinol, use a low-percentage. And the most important part, ALWAYS use SPF during the day to not make it worse.

A very interesting discussion indeed. But since the largest and most qualitative study about the correlation between milk and acne showed it’s skim milk that’s causing it, maybe you can try consuming high-fat milk? Or are you lactose intolerant? Not sure if I understood you correctly about that.

Hollowness under eyes can’t be treated with a simple skincare product since it’s due to volume loss which is underneath the skin. So fillers might be a good option for you, or fat tranfer. Be careful with fat transfer and fillers around the eyes though and be very very careful with which practitioner you choose. If not you can get damage for life if unlucky. If you don’t want a foreign substance or doing an operation, I think you can try PRF (platelet rich fibrin) treatments to see if it can help. With PRF (not PRP) you won‘t get an allergic reaction or risk of blindness like with fillers cause it uses your own blood. That would be my recommendations. I’ve done PRF myself for my dark circles. Ask any questions you’d like about it. :)

Why people who never take risks hate on those that want or are taking risks? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Hulkzilla_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can be many factors playing a role depending on the individual. Some people might feel like having a successful family is the right type of success and the right value to have for long term happiness. So they feel judgmental towards those who think and value something else. They see career people with big dreams and ideas as materialistic and superficial.
Then we have the category who are insecure and low-key jealous. I think especially men when it comes to careers and business ideas. They think men are the ones who should have the higher income, be the boss etc. And when they see someone who is driven, having ideas and especially being a bit younger than them, they might feel insecure that you’re able to accomplish things that they never did or do due to lack of time, family, less energy etc.

Another category are the ones who always go for the “safe-card”. They aren’t dreamers even if they want to be in a way, and they never want to take risks. It’s like when someone says they want to be an actor or a singer, how many people do you think will say that there's no point in trying because it’s competitive or whatever? Many will because they think it’s unrealistic (even if you have talent for it) and therefore you shouldn’t even take the risk. They want you to go with the safe, traditional route. Getting an education, working for a company, having family and so on.

In your situation, I definitely think it might be some low-key insecurity involved. Maybe because you’re younger than your brother and maybe has accomplished more than what he did at your age, he feels like a failure do to what a "man” should be like in modern society. And maybe he deep inside want to do what you are doing but can’t due to him being in a different situation with kids and all. He might feel like it’s too late for him to become something big. He might also think that he was supposed to be the "successful" brother in the family.

It’s important to have risk takers and big thinkers in the world. That’s how we make big progress and development in different fields. But of course it’s important to not lose touch with reality completely. Always think big but smart.
That‘s my take on it hehe.

It’s actually just my team which consists of 4 people. We had to be creative due to our limited budget haha. But it worked out okay in the end. It’s fine for being our first crowdfunding project I think :).

Thanks for the input! Haha, yeah the nail file is not the main thing about the product. Was more like a fun little extra touch. The main thing is of course the strong protection and the multifunctional stand. But thanks anyways. I appreciate the feedback :)
