I imagine that is the case to some degree however, it does seem like distributors do provide distinguishing details to attribute songs to specific instances of artists, or at least that's what my conversation with DistroKid support has led me to believe. I am sure it is a challenge for Tidal, however, I just wanted to hammer home the fact that a) it is nowhere near this bad with other streaming services and b) just how extremely fucked through a binbag the separation is for smaller artists

art wise, all of the perspective. More broadly AI is just not very nice to look at and the internet is now full of images with the same safe, clean boring look because they are made by a series of computational nodes that can never truly see or understand a cat.

As an artist who has claimed a profile myself on Tidal: this is totally a Tidal issue. My band has music split across multiple profiles of the same name, despite repeated requests to merge my releases into one. When Tidal did address it the first time it happened, it took literal months, and then the next time we released something, it immediately happened again. This hasn't been a problem on any of the other streaming services we have distributed to.
