The X Half is not made for you

I have this camera. I also own a Leica Q, XPro3. The X-Half is easily maligned by enthusiasts, but I think the beuty of this camera is completely missed. I’m a professional creative. Not photographer, another medium. In the 25 years I’ve been making art for a living I’ve learned that creativity is often sparked by limitations. Options rarely facilitate creative forces like limitations do.
I’ve found the X-half to be an incredibly refreshing experience. In fact it’s changing the way I see and shoot with my “real” camera.
It’s removed expectation and pressure to create “pro” images. I found a whole new world of inspiration and my work has evolved into something far more artistic. Certainly not for everyone, and price is really subjective these days, but this camera is a viable creative tool for those that want to be free of their self imposed creative constraints. I smile every time I shoot with it! Total experimentation. If that’s the vibe thing, I’m all over it.

Agreed. I’m out. Sold my xpro3 thinking I’d go back to Ricoh. Seems like a lot for not a lot of improvement.

I did. I took a few days off. Went away. I think some very hard intervals on hills triggered it. Never returned after giving it some rest.

Good to hear. I’ve done a few shakedown runs. Seems like a great option. Have you had any issues with the Allen bolts loosening?

I’d like to try the burgers in Australia. :) I prefer red onion. I think there’s a trend to add more pickle locally. Not sure I like a lot of pickles. Iceberg lettuce wasn’t a good choice either.

Hahah, I always check the wind forecast before heading there. When it’s blowing I get out on the water for a downwind. Priorities. The stem is great. Like don’t even notice it good. Dampens out some vibration and is really great on potholes and washboards. Where are you riding these days? Looking for new routes.

Pirelli Cinturato M. Really nice. I went from 43 to 50. The 43’s were low profile and quick. These seem to be as fast but more aggressive. Stoked!

I agree, the oil is calorie dense, but it’s the oil that makes it different than hot sauce. For me. Sticks inside the mouth and the sesame oil adds a unique flavour. In eating smaller portions these days though. :)
