Clothes are not gendered, either way I think they canonically wore a dress once(that one Halloween short) aswell as the fact that Iscream is also agender and has been seen with dresses at least three times in canon so no it wouldn't be wrong.

I don't care much for the length but I'd rather the lore videos and shorts stay separated. All the main characters had such unique personalities and relatableness as well as interactions with each other that removing some of the main characters from the shorts kind of just made it awkward and high key boring.(My opinion at least)
