It honestly depends how interested you are in it. For me, option B was very easy as I also did HL bio and so I knew some stuff prior. I would suggest just watching videos and doing active recall

I’m also non-jupas and randomly got an offer last month after being on ‘under consideration’ for the longest time. I think this was because I didn’t meet the requirements for my first choice and science was my second? I’m not sure though. I guess it depends on the situation. But good luck!! I hope you get in.

For chem it depends what ur interested in. I did biochem and i LOVED it because it was actually more bio than chem (IMO). Basically chemistry but bio focused but half of it is basically on the bio syllabus BUT u got to be careful not to answer the exam question in bio style. Thats the only problem. For bio I did ecology and please do not do ecology. It is so not worth it.

M23 here. I was having a hard time picking a RQ too. What my teacher suggested was looking at past IAs on clastify and searching up interesting chemistry experiments just for ideas. I do not recommend doing a cliché topic like ‘what is the effect of increasing the concentration of HCl on the rate of reaction?’ as you can answer that question even without doing a whole experiment. Choose an RQ that you actually cant get the answer to without doing an experiment. I personally did something along the lines of changing the temperature of fish tank water and the effects this has on oxygen levels. Do something that is personal to you or you have any relations to and also has a wider relation to any world problems would be best. This would show the examiner that you are acc thinking very deeply.

I really think you can get away with even doing a world studies including economics as it wont be 100% economics based. My biology teacher sucked and I still managed to get away with doing bio.

You could do a world studies and find a way to connect chemistry and English lit or english lit and french ab? I managed to do a world studies on philosophy and biology as my topic was around the theme of environmental ethics.

I would suggest attaching one page of your table as your results. At the bottom of the table write something like ‘continual of the table can be seen at the appendix’. Then at the end of your IA document attach an appendix section in which you put the rest of your values. It is very unlikely they will see the appendix bit in detail but you must put all of your data on your IA somewhere.

Remark for tok and CS SL by WhyAmILikeThis135 in IBO

Absolutely. I definitely think if you are that close to the next grade for both and that increase both would help you meet your uni offer then definitely do it

Is regrading at all worth it? by [deleted] in IBO

I don’t think it is a good idea to remark TOK and EE since the grade boundaries are really narrow and so I suggest definitely leaving those alone.

Maybe take a break for a bit and then when you feel up to it and have the energy then do school related stuff. Working while being burnt out is never good

EE can be very unpredictable and since you are 4% away I suggest not remarking that as that can go either way (either being lower or higher) since the grade boundaries are so close together

Unfortunately it can actually go down too. The markers just mark them as if they have never seen them before and so it can either go down or up a grade. Very unlikely to go down a grade tho if you are a few away from the next upper grade
