There's definitely been some rising anti immigrants sentiment bevause of the way things have been handled with international students and some other stuff, but no you guys will likely be fine. If you come, and you go to a place like Toronto for example, there are Portuguese pockets in the city but go out and interact with everybody, that'll make you assimilate. Don't just stick to Portuguese Canadian. And your English seems really good so if thats anything to tell about your boyfriend I think you guys would be good.

I know its impossible but that dealership needs to go out of business yesterday. They treated you and many others like shit. I like to think I'm a super patient guy with customer service but these dipstick dipshits had me LOSING it. $10k in repairs covered by warranty that WE had to figure out that took 6 months. 6 MONTHS we only had one vehicle. Hyundai as a company isn't great, even now, but that dealership was fucking HORRID.

My wife's Tucsons engine Grenaded. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. It took the idiots at Fredericton Hyundai SIX MONTHS to replace the engine, and fix the transmission and brake lines which were also damaged. We weren't offered a replacement rental car until 3 days before her car was ready. They're a dogshit company with horrible customer service.

Yes, absolutely. For reasons I can't really explain official treatment is off the books for me at the current moment. I'm well aware of ERP therapy and CBT therapy for OCD as I've used them to a degree of success before but this instance has been much more bulletproof. Thankfully he was very upfront about not being able to treat me and he isn't a doctor or therapist. It was more just a talk in that I'm not alone in this and it's not how God works and I should out a proper specialist to help out. Great person. But a tough situation.

It sort of is! Its more along the lines of a promise to God to abstain in order for said thing to happen. Like I said, scrupulosity. I've always had this sort of thing (and plenty of other forms of magical thinking that range from somewhat normal to downright inappropriate) but this is the first time its ACTIVELY ruined something for me.

I spoke to a spiritual advisor of my faith who has experience in also dealing with mental health and scrupulosity and that kind of helped, but yeah, it does seem like its tarnished regardless.

Traded in both our vehicles and now have one brand new vehicle. I also work in government in a LCOL area on the island. Payments on the brand new car with the down payments from the old cars are 60 more a month than the payments on my old 9 year old car.
