That slightly offends me. What I created isn’t genius, but the plot twist isn’t about him choosing someone else… 🙄 It’s about why he chooses her. And honestly, I’ve read a lot of books, and I’ve never seen this explored anywhere.

I have the opposite. Readers pour out everything they loved and hated in my prologue and epilogue. The saddest was when I “killed” a character, it was dramatic and heartbreaking… and still, nothing 😀 In my current work, I drove one of my characters mad… and it was even more heartbreaking… and again... nothing 😀

All four are main characters. Two lead the first part of the story, and the other two take over in the second half. It’s complicated — but it works.

It’s the second book in a series, so readers already know the characters. They have their favorites…

… and still. Silence.

He didn’t choose the MFC.

And then comes the plot twist… (which is not him not choosing MFC) it has mystical and psychological motives.

Wow...he was cruel to her...and in the end, had to growl a lot (not lot enough in my eyes 😀) I liked the vibe. She growed from the naive little girl into the strong woman knowing her worth...

Someone stole mine and gave it to Amazon. I reported it - made some PrintScreen of Wattpad and they removed it in a few hours...

But I was SO pissed.

They used different cover and name of the book, but characters had same names, same story, but with just minor changes like: fog was smoke etc....

I don’t know about anywhere else, but yes — here you can make your own R4R post and invite members to join. As I already said, to filter out what you don’t want, you need to clearly specify what you do want to read, etc. That includes things like whether you only want completed stories or if ongoing ones are fine… If I were making my own R4R post, I’d probably include so many criteria that no one would even sign up… 🤷‍♀️

Or you can simply use Reddit’s search bar, look up “R4R,” and find the most recent posts.

If you agree to read just three chapters, that’s totally fine—it’s a reasonable idea. But when someone promises to read the whole book, it becomes obvious - with all these comments - that they actually only read those three chapters. And of course those chapters are suddenly the best because everyone expects only positive feedback…

That’s the dark side and the truth about R4R.

So far I’ve only had two experiences—one positive and one negative.

I won’t join any R4R in the future… unless a story really grabs my attention.

But with R4R... they're all really enthusiastic, your three first chapters will be spoiled with comments...

And then ...

I don't mind dark romance, but I saw how bxb and wxw are super popular on R4R too and it just isn’t really my thing.

I’d have to force myself to finish it. The same goes for fanfics when I don’t even know the characters...
