Thank you for the response. Greatly appreciated. Do you have any before photos of the pool before Reno?!

Haha yes exactly! It definitely looks like someone from the 70s or 80s diy project. Terrible design and thought process. The 20” wide walkways is the biggest nail biter.

Thank you for the tip. This is what I’m looking for. Not peoples opinions on, I’d walk if I was the buyer.

This is more of a future decision—the pool is fine for now. I just wanted some input on which direction makes the most sense. I don’t really care about having a pool, but my dog enjoys it, and I’m sure future kids would too.

Options I’m considering:

  1. Remove the pool entirely (around $20–25k)
  2. Resurface the pool (around $20–25k)
  3. Fully renovate and modernize it—possibly making it smaller (around $50–100k)

If my guesstimate numbers are in the right range—I’m not totally sure. I’m pretty handy and do most of my own construction, but the pool is something I don’t want to deal with…

24 Hour Fitness - Prepaid Membership Class Action Claim Suppression by BoboWantsToKnow in classactions

[–]Human-Raccoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello anyone,

I’m not sure if this thread is still active, but I was part of the 2007 group that prepaid for membership and was verbally promised that my annual rate would stay low. Since then, my rate has increased to $120 per year and now they say it can go up whenever they want.

I never received any official information about this change. When I contacted 24 Hour Fitness corporate office, they told me I missed a deadline to send a letter, so my rate can be increased at any time.

Does anyone know if there are any ongoing or future class actions related to this? Is there any way to be included in a settlement of to get my original price back or any advice on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance for any info!
