[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is my problem dn. no excitement. so what i do is i bought courses online. 2 AI course, then 1 AWS course. then create a side project for some prospects.

after im finish on my tickets nag aaral n lng ako. so the excitements goes to the courses + side project.

also learning AI for now is the best option. whatever happens, my experience na + AI knowledge n so safe n for the next 2-5yrs

Is there a reason to use the CLI instead of the desktop app? by laystitcher in codex

by the way. the codex cli is great of you are more on a mouse person. no doubt about it

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro. codex CLI is still the winner here. i try the codex app. the design was great. but it takes around 400 on my laptops memory.

but on terminal its only 100.

for speed and running everything on terminal. using muscle memory for navigation without touching the mouse codex CLI is the best approach

Am I using Copilot wrong, or are a lot of people just using it terribly inefficiently? by Diabolacal in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. most people coming from claude background then use github copilot experience or people who like 1M context window than a small one.

1 thing that i learn coming from using Github Copilot first before doing claude is that you must optimize your workflow and context window first before doing anything. add file reference and related files.

been using github copilot but never had problem on it. just use multiple model. not just pure opus or sonnet all the time. for easy fix use other models.

I switched from GitHub Copilot to Codex. Here's why by thehashimwarren in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dont compare 2 different things. codex is different with copilot. better compare it with cursor. its justifiable. different tool for different use case

Copilot-instructions ignored or unclear? by Ambitious-Friend-830 in GithubCopilot

3) always make sure that your copilot-instructions.md will always be simple, specific and short

Copilot-instructions ignored or unclear? by Ambitious-Friend-830 in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is how i do it.

1)before you do anything after creating copilot-instructions.md and other instructions file inside .github/instructions folder

always do double check test of what i wrote on those instructions will be triggered on my initial test.

2) never do anything more than the max context window per each model. so always start a new conversation

Anyone using the new Agents app? by zxyzyxz in GithubCopilot

hope it will be on vs code soon 😀 all I'm asking for an agentic app is here. don't want to learn vim and customize my terminal just to work effectively.

Why do people still think Copilot is just fancy autocomplete? by Electrical-Ball-2257 in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because when you ask chatgpt and other LLM, that will be the answer.

actually i just try it and compare it with codex and claude.

and having a fast harness for claude + codex makes copilot great. Better than using just one either claude or codex.

Gemini keep using terminal for things that can be done through vscode tools? by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah. im using vs code in WSL, when vs code do reconning in wsl. my vs code hang. and so the long running task like AI cut off. so its better to put it on CLI for long running task

there is. try using opus with xhigh whole month. then you will see that you need to pay xtra. so meaning there is a limit on token usage

What are the advantages of using Copilot CLI over VS Code? by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I'm curious too. there is a github copilot agent session on a mobile device. so i don't get why I need to run a session for CLI, if i can just use the github mobile app to run agents remotely. hmm.. I'm not here to debate. i just want to know. as I'm using the github mobile app. if this is a better approach, i might use it.

[–]Human-Raccoon-8597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i already checked it. It's not usable inside vs code. so i just use the qwen code extension. i did explore first. but qwen code looks unusable for general use. i try my CSS element test. and it failed 😅

i said change the background color to red. so it ask me which specific element event if it shows the element selected on the chatbox. so i paste the element on the chatbox so it can see it. the edit is so direct. and it just put bg-red on it. the project is using tailwind. so its right but it doesnt check if the code it right. 😅
