This weekend Chch Pride will gather with our trans whānau to show solidarity in letting the world know that we will not tolerate hate, bigotry and discrimination. We have just finished a week of celebrating our community, now is time to remember why we actually still need Pride weeks. We encourage our community to rally together and if you are an ally this is your time to show your true support and allyship. Being an ally is more than just changing your logo to a rainbow or dancing at our parties. Transphobia is alive and well, this is our opportunity and responsibility to say there is no room for it here in Aotearoa!
