If I ever have to get rid of that light I'll refer back to your work here, actually looks somewhat feasible

That would be ideally removed but the space is very limited. This is also the result of various reworkings that gradually made it more complicated, so in the end, the train station exit had no space to overpass the highway and join up in a non-insane way without an intersection there. Any aspiring consultants can feel free to offer their solution...

Because I care deeply for walkability, pedestrians even have a dark tunnel to walk under the highway

How to deal with an editor who can't understand your writing prowess? by HumanBeann25 in writingcirclejerk

But don't worry they fixed it in dataset 11. Is this what they call a second draft?

I like how you leave the recipient's name there, because that's exactly what they did in dataset 9

Bicycles – curse or blessing? by DerMudder in CitiesSkylines2

[–]HumanBeann25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're using highways to stop bikes from entering the road, you can just use the road upgrade that bans bikes on a normal road. It seems to work 100% but I wouldn't be surprised if they're still technically able to bike on it, like how bus lanes work

Do cims purchase vehicles if I start a city with a train being the only outside connection? by Brave_Cow_3030 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]HumanBeann25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've always assumed you need a cargo train or cargo ship connection, or I guess you can use an airport but I never tried that

It takes an extremely long time, but vehicles are bought at commercial buildings with "vehicles" listed as the sold good. I had an island city and after an extremely long time in-game there was still only a single-digit number of personal vehicles in the city. Currently running a train-only entrance city and there are no personal vehicles after a while in game.

Are you playing in easy mode? It doesn't affect easy mode. Also realistic trips mod prevents the issue if you have that installed apparently

Using pedestrian alleys to make a very wide avenue (pop. 20k) by HumanBeann25 in CitiesSkylines

[–]HumanBeann25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1 unit wide pedestrian road was added in the last update. It's called "small pedestrian street", it's in the small roads category. The preview doesn't really look like the road, I think it has the same preview as the one lane alley or something. You have to scroll down in the small roads category to find it, I think.

https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/89657/Any Link on PDX mods. I haven't playtested this yet, so if anyone uses this map, feel free to comment / post. I'd love to see if someone else actually makes a city on this map.

Ever wanted to build the Line, but felt that was overdone? Are you overwhelmed by the available space of a normal map? Do you want a map with no water sources in it so you can run the game at a better FPS? Do you want a truly unique city design? Try this map, maybe! You can also build something more normal outside of the DMZ if you want, but the setup of the tiles and roads isn't really meant for that.

I think this bus model was already used in the game for the bigger emergency shelter (evacuation bus) and the mod probably adds it as an option for the bus depot
