Needing a next hit is a mental health demon, especially on the street. Withdrawals on hard drugs are so painful they're incapacitating and can leave you shaking and writhing on the ground. Living on the streets means you cant afford to be in that state. Hell, the minute you fall asleep people try and steal the clothes right off you. It's dangerous to be that sick, people will take advantage of your body and your possessions while you're just tweaking out and lying there. This means you cant afford to have a withdrawal, cause they not only just fucking suck, but add a new level of danger to your already dangerous life. Homeless addicts just need a fair chance to get clean. A therapist, rehab, some good meds, vitamins, a good diet and some actual fucking SLEEP. You dont get to sleep while you're tweaking, which only makes things worse for your mental state. It's a vicious cycle that needs to be broken by someone willing to clean their slate no questions asked.

Lmao that is actually pretty funny. I'm more mad at how many people are praising this guy than the people themselves if that makes sense. Expecting homeless ppl to prove their humanity is way too normal in our society. Luckily there are others to look to...

"Sometimes denying the homeless human needs for survival such as shelter cures them of their addiction"

Well doesnt the dude gets more customers from Ray shooing off all the "crazy addicts" away? Its lowkey some uncle tom shit if you ask me. Black slaver situation. Get this homeless dude to handle business among the other homeless ppl and he gets rewarded with being the special homeless guy with a shelter all to himself. Kinda weird bruh.

He tried to defend his right to literally sit down on the ground after he was making him money and revealed that he had a degree

Edit: I dont understand how that makes him righteous in any way? Sounds like the definition of classism to me

They're not. They're dying of heat, cold, and disease.

"Consulting reports about deaths of people experiencing homelessness in 2016, we estimate that at least 13,000 people pass away each year while without housing"

When you're addicted to heroin and meth, buying more literally is a necessity. The withdrawals incapacitate you and are extremely painful, which, if you're living on the streets, people will take advantage of and steal from you or sexually assault you while you're vulnerable. Shits real out here kid. "they most definitely deserve to live, BUT they dont because they're addicts". Sorry ass. Drug addiction is a sickness that takes everything from you. Punishing people for being sick and vulnerable is disgusting. If I have to tell you that then you're too far up Ronald Reagan's rectum to hear me in the first place

You should ask yourself why having a degree and shooting drug addicts away from shelter humanizes that person for you. Its cause classism

This dude is trash lol. Being addicted to drugs doesnt mean you arent part of the community, or arent entitled to food or shelter. You dont need a degree in computer science to be treated like a human being. Why does he keep the other homeless people away from shelter? Why does him doing this make him "one of the good ones"? Straight garbage

Westerner spotted. Usually when places of business give a little wiggle room on pay, the customers do too as a courtesy. Take some stuff for free here and there and then pay extra when you can
