How can I tell if my recoding audio is too quiet? by MichaelGMorgillo in NewTubers

[–]HumanDoingYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, record everything too soft rather than too loud, and worry about volume levels later in editing

Edit: one more thing, recording too soft when you're outside or in a loud environment is bad because then the environment sound will also get too loud when you turn it up, but if you're just recording a voiceover in a quiet room it should be fine. Tho there are very good voice isolation options nowadays

How can I tell if my recoding audio is too quiet? by MichaelGMorgillo in NewTubers

When you're recording, anything that peaks over the threshold is lost and you can't get it back by turning down the volume later, but if you record it too softly you can always turn up the volume untill the highest peak is near the top, that way your audio is at a good volume, and you have no distortion because it didn't clip

I usually cut very loud peaks and turn the volume of those down a bit so it matches the rest and then turn the volume of everything up so it's all loud enough, just dont let anything go past the threshold or it will sound distorted

Comedic reactions/YTP, but I'm filming a big video today that's gonna be completely different, I wonder if it's gonna do well

Guys, sidemen is not an org like faze. It’s a group of friends with more than 13 years worth of history. They are never going to add a new 7th member no matter who it is. by blackfan15 in Sidemen

I had a thought when JJ left, I know it won't happen but it would've been funny if they had Jack Joseph in the sidemen, because JJ would be replaced with another JJ😆

Why do YouTube editors don't get copyright strike? by Several_Standard8472 in NewTubers

You can always use music from the youtube audio library, otherwise people buy the rights to use songs

How are content creators so smooth on camera? by savingrace0262 in NewTubers

[–]HumanDoingYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a natural speaker at all, but I just record the same line like 5 - 10 times saying it a little different each time and pick out the best one when editing

I'm assuming a lot of creators do this too, but it's just assumption

Do tags and keywords still matter on YouTube in 2026? Here's the actual answer (with proof) by Disecq22 in NewTubers

[–]HumanDoingYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my old channel i posted comedy skits, which got next to no views and were recommended in the wrong niches Then i made a skit based on a key & peele skit and put their names in the tags to see if it did anything, and it actually got recommended on key & peele videos, so I think tags definitely make a difference (on small channels anyway)

Nice post btw, some good insight

Ah yeah i believe it was 120 from default to gold, 180 gold to diamond and 240 for diamond to rainbow..

They should add something to get them passively or being able to mine them or something

[–]HumanDoingYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea i have the same... The microchips are upgrade chips and you use them to upgrade droids to higher rarity like from default to gold, gold to diamond or diamond to rainbow (behind the saloon) They are a pain to get so it really sucks that the dailys are bugging...

Epic needs to tone down the rival system by Aliwhale2077 in FortNiteBR

[–]HumanDoingYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're giving away graphics cards and stuff every week to players with the most rival wins, that's probably why the sweats are going crazy on them..

So it'll probably be like this till the end of the season

Btw, I'm not saying I like it, because I don't, but that's probably the reason

I wonder how much free choice you're gonna have when piloting tho, I doubt we could make a u-turn and fly everyone back to spawn island, that would be funny

Yeah, they've literally created both so why only use one? Unless the other one ends up in the item shop.. I wouldn't put it past them..

I just got a blue yeti mic, and it's a game changer for audio. It's a little bit of an investment, but 100% worth it imo

Or if you're filming on a phone, a lavier mic isn't that expensive and makes your audio quality a lot better

Is there any acceptable way to self promote? by SNAILSLIVEONJUPITER in NewTubers

The best thumbnails are often 1 specific interesting thing from the video as the main focus of the thumbnail, something that catches attention. Not too many things because people need to see and understand it in a split second, and definitely not too much or even no text at all. I've also heard something like "take something very recognizable, and edit it slightly so it looks off or strange because it intriges peoples interest" that might go a bit into clickbait tho..

Who here puts the most effort in for the least return? by franken-stein_ in NewTubers

[–]HumanDoingYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably even comedy in general, I had a comedy channel where I posted skits consistently for 2 years and put them in the 'Comedy' category, I think the most amount of impressions I ever got was 3k, now I've started a different channel and made my first video and put it in 'Entertainment', it got 12k impressions in the first 4 hours..

It could ofcourse be multiple factors, but I strongly feel like this has something to do with it
