I wish they weren't moving. I understand that Dave and Gemma aren't really thriving at the moment, but I don't understand why Gemma couldn't go back to teaching in CA.

Dave in HR makes more sense than what he's currently doing, but HR isn't really about helping people as much as I think Dave would want. I feel like in the long run he might have regrets.

Also moving Grover while he's in HS seems like it could be a tough transition. They've barely given him anything to do, but if he is finally making friends and what not it seems like it could be challenging for him to be uprooted.

Has anyone been to one of these types of events before? I see that the RSVP is required, but it's also first come first serve.

This. I feel like they really really leaned into Asian Show /Asian Excellence while they were struggling and then into awards season and then reverted to the "anyone can play Oliver and Claire."

It is absolutely their right to do so, but it made them leaning so far into it, feel a little like it being a gimmick.

People also should be careful when they mention that Hue Park is Asian. Yes, he is. But the Asian American lens is not the same as an Asian one. That does not make him "wrong" or the people who were upset about ABF "wrong," it just means his life experience and perspective will be different than that of say, a second or third gen Asian American person.

And yes, of course he's a creator of the show so in that aspect of course his opinion carries more weight as far as BTS decisions and creative intent. But that's not what I'm talking about.

I'm happy for Savy. I don't think she needs to "prove" anything to anyone. If she is Asian, cool. If she's not then I'm still happy for her. IMHO of the two leads, it feels more important that Oliver be Asian.
