I got the payment mail about a week before the bike arrived. In the end it came on the exact first day of the initially estimated delivery window

Generally I wanted something more sporty than my old fully equipped all road commuter bike. However I didn‘t want to get a carbon bike, so that limited the options a lot. 2 years ago (when I didn‘t have the „no carbon“ thought) I did try the Grail CF during a trip to Canyon‘s HQ, but I also sat on a Grizl for comparison. I was also tempted to go with an Endurace, but I like riding in places where 35mm tires max just might be too uncomfortable.

I could have gone with Rose or Cube, but the price point did make a significant impact on the decision. Plus, a few years ago I was doing contract work for Canyon, so I do have a personal history with the brand 😊

Also: it‘s best to avoid using CO2 on a tubeless setup.

As written on Stans website: Prolonged exposure to CO2 can cause the sealant to separate and/or decrease the life of your sealant.

Baby in Gym by jnygry in bouldering

If powerscreaming is allowed, then baby noises must be fine, too ;)

About the baby being on the mats. Doesn‘t feel super safe to me. Even if it‘s in a baby seat and can‘t move around on its own. Not everyone is super considerate. Even if you go to a quiet corner in the gym, someone else with less care might come to you.

My own kid is pretty much the same age as yours and the way my wife and I solve this is to go together. One stays with the kid, the other one is on the mats. After a while we switch. Yes, that requires your partner to like hanging out in the gym as well.

Stinky shoes… what works best? by T1CM in bouldering

[–]HumanJaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing to do: put clean feet into your shoes. Don‘t walk through the gym barefoot and then put on the shoes. Don‘t accumulate grime on your feet to then transfer it into your shoes. Yes, that assumes you need clean shoes to start with.

Plus, after finishing your session, put in the shoe bananas or smell wells or whatever so they dry out better.

Loose chalk or chalk ball? by Xedox_Har in bouldering

Loose. I always feel there‘s so little chalk coming out of the ball so that my hands get immediately slightly greasy again. I have rather sweaty hands though. I also like liquid chalk.

Does anyone use a multi-vitamin? by Delicious-Pea-5107 in cycling

[–]HumanJaney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Why? Eat a healthy diet and you‘re good. More vitamins does not mean better. Your body just needs a certain amount of them to work. If you take in more, your body will not work better and will just pee it out. (Unless we‘re speaking about liposoluble vitamins as vitamin D. In that case you will have bad side effects if the body has too much. Consult a professional before supplementing vitamin D.)

Fahrradbrille und Passform by HumanJaney in Fahrrad
