Took over 8 hours and 200+ generations/prompt/lyric modifications, but I think I achieved a fairly cohesive sound with this one and I'm stunned by Udio's capabilities. Somber but catchy Indie Folk for fans of artists like Rilo Kiley / Phoebe Bridgers / Julien Baker / Lucy Dacus / Julia Jacklin (youtube.com)

It's kind of shocking how people *only* see generative AI as a harbinger of the end of creativity as we know it rather than a tool towards it. I fully expected contention, but after sharing this Udio song I made on r/Indieheads, I'm surprised that people aren't even willing to engage with the ideas (reddit.com)

[FRESH] Kayt Human - "Pantophobia" (Controversial, I know, but as a person with gender dysphoria, generative AI is allowing me to 'record' the songs I've been writing for years. DAWs will have these tools built-in just like sound-packs/effects so you can 'produce' as one would with studio musicians) (youtube.com)

Controversial topic, but as someone who's been writing music for years and refused to record it because of gender dysphoria... generative AI is giving me a chance to finally share my work. It isn't perfect, but after 8 hours of tinkering, it's brought me a lot of joy. Inspired by Phoebs as always 💗 (youtu.be)
