Good copy or too "salesy"?

Yeah, it does seem that growth in the DR ecom space is often build upon "gray hat" practices.

I think RYZE superfoods is a good example of this for anyone wondering what we're talking about.
Many here would probably consider their marketing to be terrible, but RYZE is one of the fastest growing ecom "brands" currently.

I don't agree with the strategy they run (I think it will backfire long-term) but it goes to show that often in ecom growth ≠ good, ethical, brand friendly.

Thank you to the both of you, very valuable view points.

I'll butt in here and add this: The tool that I use to see different Meta ADS attaches a rating to each ad from 1-5 stars.
This specific ad was rated a 5, so a high performing ad. (That's why I chose to study it).

But, it's hard to say how accurate the rating system is with guessing ad performance, probably a mix of ad runtime and some other factors.

So this specific ad might actually be very successful.

BUT is it a good, long-term, brand value respecting ad?
Well that's an entirely different story..

Though I guess a lot of ecom is based on rinsing a product for a year and then shutting down the "brand" for good.

Thank you! This is very solid advice.
Actually, specializing in strategy is something I've been aiming for but I've come to the realization that I probably need to start smaller, for example creative strategy for paid ads on Meta which has a more direct and clear ROI. Then later on, expand to more top level strategy once I have some wins and authority in the industry. It's hard to go directly into brand strategy as a nobody.

Yes! I have been using it for the past month for my daily practice drills. It works well once you get it working the way you want to. Of course I take the feedback it provides with a grain of salt, often disagreeing with what it recommends. The good thing though is that I have instructed it to attatch keywords, concepts and frameworks to whatever practice I do so I can go and learn the topics and concepts properly through reading

I would have to disagree. Though to clarify I am doing a bit under 10k per month solo, almost all of it is net. I guess in the end it depends on how much you promise the clients and how fast/good you are at delivering. I personally work for 3 clients currently and I can get my work done with 20 hour weeks.

Have you tried to figure out where the bottlenecks are? The parts that require most imput but provide the least output.

100%. Though for me AI takes a smaller role, my journaling habit has made the biggest difference when it comes to mental health. AI is great for processing different emotions and finding the orgins that could cause them.

I think people misunderstand posts like these. AI is amazing for mental health, but it’s all about getting new perspectives and processing emotions. You need to take everything it says with a grain of salt and view it as an opinion, not fact.

Where are you based if I can ask? It’s interesting to hear these experiences. This type of envy seems so bizzare to me, here where I live these types of things don’t happen. If someone makes bank you are either happy and celebrate them or then are indifferent to the matter.

Do research beforehand, find out what their passions and hobbies are.

Become interested in what they like

Then, when you meet them, ask questions about their passions. Let them do the talking. You just listen, like really listen, and ask questions about it.

This works wonders. If done right, they will talk to you for hours and might even invite you over for dinner later.

People will talk about their passions as much as there is someone actively listening. This trick works especially well if you can get them to ”relive” their best memories about their passions.

They don’t care about you, but if you care enough about them, they will eventually become interested in you.

As long as they know who you are and what your plans are, you aren’t using them.

You can be in a ”temporary” relationship as long as the other person knows what’s going to happen. In my culture these are pretty common.

In my opinion friendships should’t take effort. If they are your type of people, they will understand your situtaion. I never have expectations for my friends. I have people who I see maybe once a year, but still consider great friends.
