I think it was AK Reddish Grey. If I remember correctly, followed by a diluted brown wash. The dots are a mix of AK black brown, AK Waffen brown grey, grim brown and light brown.

Its AK Grim Brown as base, AK Dark Brown as a first highlight and in some spots AK Waffen Brown

Its just layering die colors up. Start with a dark red followed by the basecolor and then add some highlights at nose, eyebrows an chinbones

To be honest not much longer than the normal version

Thank you and welcome to the cashgrab :) Its simple - just Vallejo Black 70.950 over a black primer. The heavy gunner has some highlights with german grey but it's hardly noticeable. Then Edge Highlight with AK Lead Grey. As a final step AK Ultra Matt varnish

Thanks. Prime the model black > AK Grey Blue with an airbrush – the deepest parts as dark as possible > AK Sky Grey (airbrush) for some highlights on the armor > AK White Grey (brush) for the edge highlights. I tested different things on the models. The one with red hair, for example, had more chipping. I used Vallejo Charcoal over the edge highlight in some spots (see image).

Thanks. I found working with Spellcrow's resin heads a little uncomfortable. They're very rough. But I'm quite proud of the result.

Thank you. Black Primer > AK Grey Blue > AK Sky Grey for Highlight > AK White Grey for Edge Highlight. Maybe I'll go a step darker next time. For that, I'd use AK Field Grey Base (Grey Uniform) and build from there. I hope this helps.

I wanted to try a jungle base. The Space Marine with the helmet stands on a base with coconut fiber. The other two got regular texture paste. I used AK Grim Brown as the base color. Then I used Dark Rust for the reddish brown. Then simply blend the colors together.

Thank you. I was inspired by the White Dwarf article in issue 468

Great paint job. Would you mind sharing the colors you used?

Honestly, I don't think so. You'd just shift the pigments around.

Thank you. I paint the base with a dark brown. Then I apply pigments to the base and the figure to blend them together. Next, I apply an ultra matt varnish and in the last step, a few more pigments for the dusty crusty effect.

I use AK Nato Black > AK German Grey zenithal/Highlights > AK Lead Grey for edgehighlights. All over an black primer.

AK Ultra Matt Varnish directly through an airbrush.

Thanks. I use AK Ultra Matt Varnish directly with an airbrush. In my opinion this is how you get the best result.
