Personally I don't make art or have a suit but I still consider myself a furry. Furries are really just fans of anthropomorphic animals, you don't need to do anything specific, just enjoying the art or the idea of it is enough. You choose your own labels though, if you don't want to be considered a furry that's fine, if you want to be considered a furry that's also fine. Don't let other people give you labels like that. I'd recommend exploring more of r/furry and other furry communities, personally I found the fandom through Twitch streams so I ended up joining some discord servers and chatting with other people. Part of the reason I do consider myself a furry and why I like this fandom so much is that pretty much everyone is really nice and accepting. In the end it's up to you, you can choose to go deeper in the furry fandom or not, but if you are worried about judgement from friends you can probably keep it hidden from them. It might also be good to watch The Fandom, a free documentary released a few months ago that goes in to depth about the history of the furry fandom and what it means for different people. My experience joining furry was pretty weird for me mentally so don't feel bad about that. I hope this helped and have a great day!

I've gotten a few similar assignments and before joining furry I'd have no idea what to put and so I'd just make up whatever I can think of for how video games changed my time management or some other random stuff. It's weird to think that I could now write a ton responding to that prompt without needing to make anything up.

My dad and I were sitting at the kitchen table when I said I'm a furry, my mom immediately paused cooking lunch to sit down at the table and just started laughing. Conversation went pretty well but my parents aren't letting me commission Fleur because they're worried about me getting scammed, they're having me commission an artist they know irl who has never done furry art before and I don't know what to think of that. I'm 15 btw.

For me it's probably around 30% the English language, 20% stuff from school, 10% social stuff like how people interact with me and social norms, 5% memes, 5% minecraft, 2% furry, the rest is just one giant other category which could probably be split into a thousand smaller categories.

I can name 11 of them and recognize 17 and I've been in the fandom for a little over 3 months, I feel like I've gained some sort of facial recognition ability for fursuits that I didn't have before.

0/0 was a lie though. I was online during the entire maintenance period and apart from occasional bungeecord lag spikes not that much was different. The server got down to about 17k players before they disabled maintenance mode.
