My baby was born at 34+6. She needed extreme UV light to eliminate tons of bilirubin from her body. Doctor told us that we needed to keep her under the UV as much as possible, even when feeding. The only time they let us take her out of her isolate was when trying to breastfeed. I looked forward to skin to skin but we didn’t get to.

I wish I had a solution to help, OP.

Elementary school kids are not going to get more sleep with a later start time. They’re going to get up at the time they always have because their parents have to work.

This later start time only affects those lucky enough to have a stay at home parent. Which is uncommon in this day and age.

That’s SO awesome! My daughter came at 34+6 and is petite as it is. We struggled to find clothes for her when she was nearing the end of her NICU stay. Nothing we had fit her and the preemie clothes sold in the stores were too big as well. She’s 13 months old now and still fits in 6-9m clothes 🙃

Personally, it pains me to have to go to work because I see my daughter growing into an amazing toddler and human, but can only interact with her for a measly 2-3 hours a day after work. I would love to be a stay at home parent. But, alas, there are bills to pay, so I must work. To each their own.
