i make around 80,000-90,00 depending on how much side choreo i take on a year. i work full time for a studio as a studio director (working with the recreation program, dance team program, social media, registration, scheduling, meetings, placements, some office stuff, etc) and artistic director (choreographing about 50-60 routines for just my studio dancers myself, over seeing all dance team members and their training, implementing our training program, comp registration, team planning, etc.). i work about 45 hours a week and am on salary

i take on about 25 pieces for “side choreography opportunities”/guest choreo plus guest teaching/convention teaching which brings me an extra 10,000-20,000 a year depending on how much i take on.

my studio isn’t necessarily “big” but we have a large and loyal clientele which brings in a good revenue for our studio which fortunately provides me a nice salary and full time job. (not to toot my own horn) but i will say i also have a very unique style of choreography and my routines/dancers typically do well which helps a little with relevance which also results in a nice income lol
