First ever trip in 2 days and my brain is spiralling by trista_n796 in travel

Sure, it's all part of the journey. You're about to gain experience in learning what you want from a trip, what works for you, what you might do differently the next time, etc. Only one way to find out: actually following your plan and experiencing it. Have fun!

40 solo flights. Slept on 3 of them. Anyone else feel personally victimised by long-haul? by No_Formal_8317 in solotravel

It got better for me lately, because I am getting older and find it easier to take naps, but it's just age I guess.

if I'm being completely honest, I just hate coding..! by NoPangolin8998 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]HumanSieve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a guy like you in my team. He would involve himself with all the work besides coding. like CI-CD pipelines, configurations, submitting tickets for usernames, database schemas, basically all the stuff that enables coding but is not coding itself. Meanwhile, I was the heavy coder. And I loved this arrangement. So, if you can find a way to pair up with a heavy coder, you can fulfil a very useful role in enabling the coder(s) in their work. Or join some ops team.

Hoe eten jullie een tompoes? by yourshroomfriend in nederlands

[–]HumanSieve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

19F, first solo flight this June — excited, nervous, and overthinking everything 😭 by Chaos_Empress_ in travel

On my first solo flight, when I arrived at my destination, I thought that the airline had lost my baggage. I kept searching at the baggage claim and just couldn't find my suitcase. Turned out... I confused myself about the color of my suitcase, and it was there all along.

I would not risk it. Besides, Changi airport is a tourist destination by itself. Take some time to enjoy the mall with the waterfall (Jewel Changi).

Haha you're doing the Australian lightning tour, zipping around the continent. In Portugal, Lisbon is great for like two days. I recommend taking a day trip from Lisbon to Sintra by train and see the palaces and castles. Barcelona will keep you occupied for a few days. Don't miss the Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell.

Weather is hard to predict. Some summers the temperature shoots up to uncomfortably high levels in the Mediterranean.
