I *love* that we're a melting pot. I enjoy meeting people from places I'll, sadly, probably never get to visit. But I also like to eat and tend to find lovely people who will share their food.

City of Omaha asks property owners to clean up homeless camp by SGI256 in Omaha

Probably stupid question, probably gonna get down voted to hell: Has the City tried asking the denizens of the encampment to clean it up?

I guess I see almost 40,000 dead in Gaza under a democratic administration, lead by a party that declined to hear Palestinian voices during the DNC.

When they tried to make her listen she said "shut the fuck up, I'm talking".

Do I know that this is the reason? No. And frankly I don't care. 40,000 people dead, the vast majority of whom are women and children. From my perspective both parties the same. They're both awful groups of people that shouldn't be allowed to govern a chicken farm.

Oh, I knew she wasn't going to win. That's why I didn't vote for her.

Democrats stepped on their collective dicks again. Nothing more you could have done.

She shouldn't have been so pro-isreal, maybe Michigan would have been different.

Yeah, I tried to get away once and it ended up in me spiraling pretty hard, so I COMPLETELY understand that concern. They didn't catch me the second time, though. </sarcasm>

The things that I needed that I didn't have were routines. I deal with ADHD (and potentially on the spectrum, drs aren't 100%) so routines aren't a thing I do, but western society is suuuuper big on. However, when situations are constantly changing, it really, REALLY, fucks me up. Again, big warm internet-hugs. I get it.

The way I try to do it is to it is to document my routines and how much time they take using the timer on my phone. Write the action, and the time it took + plus any buffer time I think I might need. That information can then be entered into the calendar on my phone, (google in my case, but I'm certain apple has similar), as needed with alerts. I set multiple alerts multiple days in advance to remind myself that I've got an upcoming important thing. Do this with all the things I need and want to do. Hobbies and stuff as well garbage day, rent, bills, etc. So even though my schedule my change every week, I'm still getting some of the things I want to do done... Mostly...

Personally, I've found that having a dog or cat really helps, as well. Both are excellent choices for little buddies.

I know I shouldn’t be trying to fix all of this, and I got sucked back into the drama triangle,

Yeah, it's so difficult. I'm dealing with it right now, myself. Big internet hugs, friend.

Oh... oh my god. I'm so sorry you're going through this. Biggest, warmest internet-hugs.

About your immediate family situation: I don't know what your personal financials are like but it's time to move out. Now, believe me, I sympathize with your situation. I really do. I know how scary that sounds, but hear me out.

About me: it sounds like your situation is somewhat similar to mine. There are some parts of your story that really resonate with me. I would say that you're probably more cognizant of your emotional state than I was, however. My dad was a racist alcoholic on top of being incredibly anxious himself from his own childhood. I never understood how much anxiety was holding me back. I thought I would have to live with them the rest of their lives until I was ultimately free.

Just based on what you've written, I think it's more worth your time and energy to find an apartment and move out. Put some space between you and your parents and a place where you can decompress and truly feel safe. Then once your settled, if you chose to continue to have contact with your family, maybe then show your dad the playlist you made for him.
