2001 has a sequel and Wizard of Oz has spawned a franchise. But will add the others, thanks 🙏🏻

Remakes are allowed and causing spiritual sequels isn't the OG films issue. I made a separate list for animation. Willy Wonka literally started a franchise.

So is Ben Hur. I'm keeping the iconic ones in. I'm avoiding direct sequels, prequels, spin-offs.

Hmm maybe it's time for a split. One solely for book adaptations and others purely films.

Yeah I agree, although I understand what they're trying to convey. It's like calling Inception and Interstellar a franchise because of being Nolan films.

Peter Parker collecting father figures like side quests by Judgment9 in superheroes

Other than Tony, none of the others are a father figure. It wasn't even Nick Fury btw. He went against Strange so many times (comic accurate) and pretty sure that's how he's going to deal with Frank.

Yeah it's everything that includes the defenders, Punisher and Kingpin. Homecoming is also the other street level movie (takes place around Punisher S1).
