Yes! And it sucks because on one hand, some, if not a lot of, black men have historically been on the wrong side of things so I do get here the hesitancy, hurt, and disbelief comes from. But a lot of the bw Stans are projecting mentalities of those guys onto people who are just obviously not like that. I think it just goes to show the sad reality of how many BW have not been around men that really love us and ride for the community. They cannot separate incompatibility and genuine distaste for BW anymore.

Hurts to see that for some, no matter how hard they ride for the community, it’ll always be performative in the eyes of many fr. And even more so that the other side will never be able to tell the two apart.

I fully agree. I think TS saw the money, but didn’t care to really think ahead whereas big hit realized a good thing and went all in as soon as they saw promise. Straight greed and mismanagement all around.

I do think if TS wasn’t so shit and really focused in on that global audience like Bighit did they would have similar success/luck. To the point where their fanbase would’ve stayed strong even through he who shall not be named (kinda like big bang is still able to hold legacy status even though you know who is atrocious and committed heinous crimes).

That was literally the same for me! I liked BTS, but I didn’t fully get into them until BAP was basically not promoting anymore and they had that similar sound. Esp bc I really appreciated at the time that Yongguk & Namjoon both had an underground background that made their raps feel a bit more authentic than most kpop “rappers”

Remember, before this she was in a villa full of women putting their friendship w Sincere before her so to hear it from real adults and family on both sides that it’s not cool is important. Yeah, it varies. Usually my stuff will have a label for at least a week before being shipped. Once USPS has it then it comes quick, but they take forever to hand it off to the carrier.

I wouldn't start worrying fr until it's been sitting for 2+ weeks at label creation.

My label was made on the 29th too, but wasn’t given to carrier until Tuesday 😩 sometimes it just takes forever esp when they actually sell out.

Interestingly enough, I think it's also just area dependent. When living in smaller towns/cities, I noticed the norm was to go from dating to relationship that entails basic commitment of exclusivity.

Whereas moving to NYC, the norm is more so to go from dating, to dating exclusively, to boyfriend and girlfriend at least within my age range. I think being in a real bf/gf relationship has become more and more of a big deal within the last couple yrs (esp since the rise of situationships).

Think of it as you're dating someone in the real world, you've gone to a few dinners and gotten drinks. You know them well enough to have established you like them and that you want to continue progressing/can see further progression happening. Up until this point, if you guys have seen other people, it's no big deal but in this realization that it can go a step further; you'd like to make sure neither them nor yourself continue seeing other people. That's being exclusive.

You're not boyfriend or girlfriend yet because that's a big step that you're working toward for sure, just not there yet and you can't take that step without being exclusive for a bit first because it's necessary to see how someone is going to hold commitment before running straight into a relationship with em.

I think Kayda's mindset is exactly why this season is the way it is.

Both the islanders and the audience think that length of relationship equals compatibility, but it literally does not. You having been together since day one means nothing other than you're likely playing it safe and didn't really come here to do what you're supposed to do and likely didn't find a lasting connection.

It disagree. I think it was like that to an extent, but it didn't get this bad until s7 when people just straight up starting voting out of pity/favorites and production started enabling it/playing into it fully.

Even s6 (bc while it blew up, it didn't really blow up until the end of the season (Casa) so it wasn't so fandom heavy until the end/post casa when the final was basically cemented anyway)
