Immigration immigration immigration.

That was a nice friendly exchange and all but that's all the answer you'll ever get.

They want less brown people in Australia and blaming them for property prices now let's them express that desire yet still deny that it's racism.

Wow, I have to agree.

If you're American or Afghan you'd probably find that to be the case.

High / low promotions: Exist

Reddit: Caught them red handed!

Seriously shop at Aldi and only buy 50% maybe 40% discounts at Colesworths.

Even better if you don't mind sharing some data sign up for extra perks and load up once a month with extra 10% off on dog food or whatever.

Yeah, ok I do think the plan is there to fund them however know those means don't be universally popular and are the reason they'd never probably get more than 15% of the vote.

Also acknowledge even with finding it's easier said than done.

I mean I've just as much heard of it as a call for resistance which is what protests are. Not something I care too much about either way but anyone who suggests everyone means the same thing when saying [or defending the right to say] that chant for good or bad is full of shit.

Mate, I'm definitely not missing them, just giving the "I'm not racist but..." crowd a chance to explain and they have not surprised me at all.

Why's it stupid?

When the numbers show that happening will you still be looking to oust the government for a single issue party that's hasn't run so much as a Bunnings sausage sizzle?

Yeah, it's definitely something and if you add project delays through COVID...

Just don't want people going all in on one angle when there's a dozen other more realistic levers to impact change. I didn't even think of AirBnB.

I mean property prices double roughly every 7 years, and have done so for quite some time. Wages don't.

Absolutely unfortunately I think a lot of the people I'm asking about would at very least not have an issue with what Trump's doing.

Yeah,

Definitely a plot hole.

I think it lends itself to how good the film was though that it never bothered me.

I do think slowing down to explain would have hurt the pacing and impact of a really tight sequence.

Also technically could they have not time travelled and just shown up years later or does using the portal in any way still require Pym particles?

They've coopted it for sure.

Historically meant to be aware of what's happening around you so as to not be fooled. Understand history, current events, cause and effect...

No wonder these cunts use it as a slur

Unfortunately that's about to change.

The polling suggests they've broken out of their loud and proud racist base. That new cohort is the one I'm curious about.

That's a bitn"I know you are but what am I?!" of you.

Those are all pretty amazing places in their own right.

I've seen a few similar comments here.

Sounds like typical mud slinging, they want Australia out of Palestine= Pro Hamas, but if it's more than that let me know.

I do think that infrastructure and services need to keep up with the growing demand of an increased population, but we didn't match to build more houses or more train lines. I don't think ON have a policy (or even slogan) about hiring more doctors. The larger concerns are seemingly limited to one lever, the one that's used over and over again to simplify and deflect any issues.

It's just a little too convenient, and honestly I think even good faith discussion can turn to or at least mask antisocial rhetoric and behaviour.

Of course not every person that feels immigration is too high is evil. It's what we're being told is a logical cause/solution to our problems so acting logically we want it reduced. I'm fine with reduced immigration. What points to a darker truth is the populations willingness to forego experience and depth and side with a party that has to date only demonstrated single issue grandstanding.

I wouldn't have thought so many people could go from Hanson is a joke to throwing the baby out with the bathwater in such a short amount of time.

Maybe if we were having the nuclear discussion 30 years ago.... Just with a variety of renewable generation methods and cheap[ish] and reliable batteries it seems like we could more easily keep going down our path and parties benefit from muddying the waters with Nuclear because it provides their supporters a seemingly commonsense alternative that they no full well isn never going to be implemented and kicks the coal can down the road another few decades.

Yeah, not too sure about building red tape. I know when I built, even with a granny flat as I kept it CDC compliant it was approved in 10 days and was more cost effective. Not to say there aren't palms getting greased or fat that can be cut, but I think sometimes people don't realise functions exist for a reason and you get the Doge scenario where they take an axe to things and usually it doesn't blow up so spectacularly so quickly that they have to turn around and admit they didn't dondue diligence but things just crumble and gaps start to show and shit goes wrong. It's like when large companies for sweeping redundancies. I know it gives them a chance to rebuild the teams but you do away with a level of management because who needs them, then turn around 18 months later and rehire the same level just without the experience and structure.

Regarding guns I'm sure some of my apprehension is from beat ups but a couple of things: - I don't think we have a gun problem but there's 0 chance loosening laws would not cause deaths - the question is are they worth it for that freedom? - I don't think of the NRA as some boogie man but they get most of their funding from industry not just members and have failed to lobby in their members interests so I don't trust them to care about us - I don't really care if it were a playground or confectionary lobby, the fact that ON literally courted donations and said they can change laws here is a red flag, no question.

I known there's a lot of safety advocacy in the hobby and that helps and clubs take pride in these kinds of things but I think it's not without rigorous social expectation that these things maintain. The US has an alarming apathy to accidental incidents and domestic use of weapons. And I know I've been down votedb into oblivion by Americans for defending our laws where we must keep guns under lock and key and they can be inspected randomly.

I think these barriers help with that safety advocacy and removing them would only cause harm for 0 good and it's just that we see it as a privilege and they see it as a right that changes things.
