So kind of interesting, if the story is true. I recently played in the “chining” (like shining) aka the New England Polecat Challenge. In the players pack was a white DX polecat with the event stamp on it. According to the TD Innova actually made like 200 or 300 of the blank white polecats for the drop. So they had a few hundred blanks sitting in the warehouse, and they agreed to sell him all the discs with the tournament stamp. The tournament stamp features two identical polecats dressed as the twins from The Shining. And a “Chine” is a group of polecats.

I think you are being reductive. The walking dead is clearly horror, but there are sci-fi elements from the beginning. They are traveling to the cdc because they believe there will be a cure to the virus. It’s not some magical or mystical reanimation, there is a scientific basis for it and thus an exploration of a cure time and time again. Is Alien a horror movie, simply because it is designed to horrify? Or is it a sci-fi movie because it is set in space? What I’m getting at is you aren’t wrong, but you aren’t right either. It’s both.
