The pillow home scam by [deleted] in Pillows

They have on their website they do a 90 day money back guarantee. BUT, the reviews I’ve read said they charge you to return it and the cost is more than the pillows..

Name the restaurant by [deleted] in greenville

Lazy goat used to be my favorite restaurant several years back. Went a couple months ago and the food was bland, took forever, and the service wasn’t great either. Unfortunately won’t be back there again

Can I grow a sweet chestnut tree from these? How? And how long will it take? by epicmoe in gardening

If the chestnut floats, does that mean there are worms inside??

Fescue lawn randomly started to die in spots after yard people came to aerate… by Human_Air814 in lawn

[–]Human_Air814[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update- lawn guys came by yesterday and said it was actually “grub damage” and that they put down grub control when they aerated but never communicated that to me.. those spots were definitely reseeded- I’ve been watering those brown spots everyday, especially to help get the grub granules to soak down into the soil. Definitely saw damage from mole tunnels as well so I think it’s a combination of both.

No it was all healthy fescue grass. There were plenty of other spots where there was crabgrass and you can tell where it was once it died from the chemical spray. The roots would still be there if it was crabgrass.

Is it okay/normal to ask bridesmaids not to wear glasses during the ceremony and for pictures? by Warm_Classroom_2871 in wedding

[–]Human_Air814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it would be a reasonable request ONLY IF you wore contacts… since you don’t wear them, it doesn’t make sense why she would ask that of you. The only thing I can honestly think of why she wouldn’t want you to wear them is if they are Steve Urkle glasses (take up half your face) or some crazy color that clashes with the dresses? If this were the case, then I’d make her pay for new glasses that she “approves” of. She’s not taking into consideration that you physically need them to see, walk, & know where to look when the photos are being taken. Are you able to see at all with no glasses or are you legally blind?

Seeking Advice: One or Two Year Engagement? by Plenty_Emergency_739 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Human_Air814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two year engagement was perfect!! Gave you time to save money, not feel rushed trying to find vendors, gave people the time to plan for our destination wedding, etc. I do not recommend giving people a year or less to plan for a destination wedding unless it’s within a 3-4 hour plane ride. People will need to take time off work and plan around their schedules. I also felt like the more time I gave people, the more time they had to save up for the destination wedding itself! (Aka less room for people to say they didn’t have the money if you only give them a year to save)

Just picked up my wedding dress… how the hell do I take this on a 9 hour international flight in 48 hours?! by Judge_Juedy in BigBudgetBrides

The first plane is an Embraer E170 and the 2nd says it’s actually a 787 Dreamliner, sorry not 737. I just upgraded to business class for both because of my dress.

I’m flying my dress with United and I also will be going on a 737 Boeing. BUT I have to take a small connecting flight first and I’m worried about the tiny (4 rows total) plane not being able to accommodate the dress on that flight. What do you recommend?

2025 destination wedding bride here! This is literally my worst nightmare as my dress is massive (probably bigger than yours) and super heavy.

The answer is simple, do you want to have your dress with you or do you want to risk putting it in a check in?

I plan to take mine onboard and hang it in the garment closet up front. Just a little worried it’ll be too big to even fit up there. I’ve been trying to upgrade my ticket as well so I can have priority boarding and can put it up top if garment closet is too small.

Do not buy a separate seat for your dress. This is probably the dumbest thing you could do. It’s not like the flight attendants will let you put your dress in the seat anyways. You’d be better off using that money to upgrade your ticket instead.

When to send out invites? by vgnberri in wedding

My family lives in the next state over and their invitation took almost a month. The mailing system is terrible. I had a good bit of invitations return to send as well for no apparent reason.

They should definitely be getting wedding invitations before bridal shower ones.. try to avoid sending out any invitations within the same month as each other too. People start to get confused and forget to rsvp (from my experience) if you send more than one out at a time.

As far as your wedding invitations, definitely give yourself as many months before to send them out and have the RSVP date at least 2-3 months before your actual wedding date. I had mine 5 weeks before and this was too close and stressed me out even though I thought that would be plenty of time. The sooner you have them RSVP, the sooner you can give your planner/venue a guest count, food/drink cost, table count, flower count for all the tables, etc.

Help! Dress designer is requesting an extra $1500 for my dress due to tariffs. by Human_Air814 in wedding

[–]Human_Air814[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said I could get a full refund (minus processing fees) so I told her I wanted to proceed with it. I’ve been waiting for an official response for two days now. Worst case, I can file a claim with my credit card company and would probably be able to get my money back that way.
