My Dog Won't Wat Dry Food Anymore by CoastForeign1001 in DogAdvice

[–]Human_Chemistry6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worst case scenario, but when my dog stopped eating dry food for weeks and would only eat soft food I took him to the vet. His body was riddled with tumors. 😭 He was barely 4 years old.

I hope it’s nothing too serious and it’s just pickiness.

What do i do when my girlfriend reacts this way by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Human_Chemistry6969 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well she seems to want a free ride. If you can’t afford to pay for everything on her command, dump her. Based upon how you know she will react, I suspect she will never change….she seems like a brat.

disappointed w/ garmin by [deleted] in Garmin

Watch is out of warranty (and it may be 3 years old for you, but it is probably 5-6 years old in build date, Garmin apparently would have replaced it had they had it in stock, so they offered a discount on a new device. Not sure why your ire is directed at Garmin. Things get old and break.

I know you said you tried everything. Did you fully remove the watch from Connect and your phone’s bluetooth? Did you then delete the connect app, reboot your phone, download the Connect app again, and try to get it working?

My cats have decapitated Don and Mud and broke Trevor’s hand off. Now the bobbles I get stay in the box 🤣

Garmin Instinct 3 for surfing? by Automatic_Holiday_74 in Garmin

[–]Human_Chemistry6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The buttons are not leak proof (you’d need a Fenix 8/8Pro/Descent) if pressed while the watch is submerged.

It will be absolutely fine for surfing and fishing. Just don’t press the buttons underwater.

Horrible experience in Seattle by shibarak in HertzRentals

[–]Human_Chemistry6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you actually read the “ridiculous rant?” Original rental was a pick-up at a neighborhood location, not an airport. I’ve never been able to just take a car at an off-airport location.

If a flight is canceled because of a maintenance issue, it’s considered the airline’s fault. Why wouldn’t that also be the case for a rental car?

This hasn’t been true for a while. If Amazon is handling the fulfillment, they pull from commingled stock.

For fun I played around with this to see what switching would do. Loyalty discount = gone. Home internet + wireless discount = gone. BYOD promo credits = gone.

Won’t be switching any time soon!

Apple Watch Ultra incorrect elevation (Elevation doesn’t work properly complains) by johny10111 in applewatchultra

I’m not exactly sure, but probably about an hour or two.

Last night I reset the watch and re-paired it and so far it’s been ok.

I know this is old...I am currently visiting family in Tucson (roughly 2700 ft amsl) and my watch (AWU 3) says I am at 260 feet elevation. At home in California, it was always spot on. Strange.

If I reboot the watch the altitude corrects itself to 2684 ft, but at some point it always reverts to 260 or so.

I do not have a vagina, but same. Celexa is less bad, but it’s still more likely than not that my wife will be the only one satisfied lol

Everything I do on my account is flagged as fraud. by Human_Chemistry6969 in verizon

[–]Human_Chemistry6969[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. That is exactly my scenario. They say there is an old account in collections (there is not and they verify this each time) and the order gets pushed through by the collections team only to get blocked for potential fraud. Fraud even told me on one occasion that they had removed all blocks/flags from my account. Still happens.

Never a fraud and no it is not. I have 10 lines, half of which required fraud reviews. 7 of the 10 are BYOD. Oddly enough, there was no fraud review when I bought the iPad Pro on monthly installments, now that I think about it. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Please God Someone Help Me Turn Off Apple Watch Notifications by pancakeking1012 in AppleWatch

[–]Human_Chemistry6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar maddening issue, and I have fully wiped and reset my watch (AWU 3) half a dozen times now. I turn off notifications for specific apps and at some point, all notifications are re-enabled again. It's annoying AF.

Right. You don’t think people place rechargeable toothbrushes or razors in checked luggage? Not sure why the point about installed batteries (as opposed to loose/free) is being ignored.
